Yoga meditation/savasana robe (yoga robe)

Abstract

This invention is an all natural fabric robe for yoga practitioners to use to meditate in and to comfort oneself and provide warmth during the final part of the yoga practice of Śavāsana. It has a front, rear and back body with a snug, stand-up collar, an arrow shaped hood, asymmetrical bell-shaped sleeves, a fabric flap, 7 circular-like designs and 7 series of 3-lined phrases. ‘The wearer’ can only put the robe on and take it off by stepping into and out of the garment through a vertical mid-body zipper opening. There are two 180 degrees horizontal demarcated seam lines across the front of the garment—one across the breastplate area of the robe and the other across the groin area of the robe. The fabric flap fastens on the inside to expose the feet and fastens on the outside to cover the feet. The seven circular designs on the robe are placed and colored to represent the 7 main chakra centers on the body. The seven 3-lined phrases are on the back of the robe and are placed and colored to represent the 7 main chakra centers on the body. On the back of the robe, there is a spiral that extends from the crown of the robe to the base of the spine.

1 . A robe that has a front body and a rear body; wherein the robe tapers at the torso and has a bag-like lower body; wherein the robe comprises a snug, stand-up collar; wherein the robe comprises an arrow shaped hood that widens at the sides and curves out towards a point at the top; wherein the hood attaches to the stand-up collar; wherein the robe comprises a 1 st  horizontal demarcation seam line 180 degrees across the breastplate area of the robe; wherein the robe comprises a 2 nd  horizontal demarcation seam line 180 degrees across the groin area of the robe; wherein the robe comprises asymmetrical, bell-shaped sleeves; wherein the robe has a middle front zipper along the front body of the robe; wherein the robe has a fabric flap that can be fastened up to the groin area demarcation seam line and at the ankle area of the robe; wherein when the fabric flap is fastened to the groin area demarcation seam line of the robe, it fastens up on the inside rear body of the robe; wherein when the fabric flap is fastened to the ankle area of the robe, it fastens up on the outside, bottom front body portion of the robe; wherein the robe has 6 individual designs located on front body portion of the robe representing placement of 6 main chakra points on the body; wherein the robe has 1 design located on the crown portion of the hood of the robe representing the placement of a last main chakra point on the body; wherein the robe has 7 series of 3-lined phrases located on the back of the robe representing placement of 7 main chakra points on the body.

         8 . The robe of  claim 1 , wherein the zipper extends vertically down the middle of the robe, starting from an opening in the snug, stand-up collar through to the 1 st  demarcation seam line at the breastplate area of the robe to the 2 nd  horizontal demarcation seam line at the groin area of the robe.

The robe of  claim 1 , wherein the zipper allows the robe to only be opened and closed along the middle, front body at the torso; wherein the zipper opening is the only way ‘the wearer’ can put the robe on by stepping into the robe and lifting the garment over the shoulders and take the robe off by removing the robe from the shoulders and stepping out of the robe. 
     
     
         10 . The robe of  claim 1 , wherein the asymmetrical sleeves are configured to extend from shoulder to wrist of the wearer; wherein the highest points of the sleeves falls at the bottom portion of the sleeve, resting beneath the knuckle of the middle finger on the back side of the hand. 
     
     
         11 . The robe of  claim 1 , wherein the fabric flap is attached to the bottom of the robe;
 wherein the fabric flap is two additional feet of the same fabric extended from the bottom of the robe; wherein the fabric flap is quadrangular shaped; wherein the length of the two lateral sides are equal to each other and the length of the top and bottom sides are equal to each other; wherein the bottom side of the fabric flap has three socket-parts of snaps placed on the outside of the robe, equidistantly between each other; wherein three stud-parts of snaps are placed at the ankle area of the robe, aligning with the three socket parts of the snaps; wherein three stud parts of snaps are placed on the inside rear body of the robe at the 2 nd  horizontal demarcated groin seam line, aligning with the three socket-parts of the snaps at the bottom of the robe.   
     
     
         12 . The robe of  claim 1 , with a spiral; wherein the spiral has two openings; wherein the 1 st  spiral opening is at the center of the back of the robe directly above the 4 th  3-lined phrase, from the bottom; wherein the spiral widens out in three curves that increase in size all the way out to the sleeves; wherein the 2 nd  spiral opening rests directly underneath the 2 nd  line of the 3-lined phrase right below the crown on the hood of the robe.
