Abstract
Methods and apparatus for performing wireless communication in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) configured for multi-radio access technology (RAT) operation are disclosed. A method includes the WTRU wirelessly communicating information on a first operating frequency according to a first RAT. The WTRU also wirelessly communicates information on a second operating frequency according to a second RAT.

1 . A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) comprising:
a transceiver operatively coupled to a processor configured to detect a radio link failure (RLF) of a serving cell of a first radio access technology (RAT); the transceiver operatively coupled to the processor, in response to detecting the RLF of the serving cell of the first RAT, configured to stop uplink (UL) transmissions for all serving cells of the first RAT; and the transceiver operatively coupled to the processor configured to send an indication of the RLF of the serving cell of the first RAT to an evolved Node B (eNB) connected via a second RAT.
2 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the first RAT and the second RAT are different air interface technologies.
3 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the first RAT and the second RAT are a same air interface technology.
4 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the WTRU is connected to a primary serving cell via the second RAT.
5 . The WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the WTRU is connected to a primary serving cell via the first RAT and a different primary serving cell via the second RAT.
6 . A method performed by a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising:
detecting a radio link failure (RLF) of a serving cell of a first radio access technology (RAT); in response to detecting the RLF of the serving cell of the first RAT, stopping uplink (UL) transmissions for all serving cells of the first RAT; and sending an indication of the RLF of the serving cell of the first RAT to an evolved Node B (eNB) connected via a second RAT.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the first RAT and the second RAT are different air interface technologies.
8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the first RAT and the second RAT are a same air interface technology.
9 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the WTRU is connected to a primary serving cell via the second RAT.
