Abstract

An exercise apparatus comprises a wearable article and a plurality of straps. The wearable article may comprise pants, footwear, headwear, jackets, gloves, socks, shorts, shirts, vests, sleeves, unitards, and/or leotards. The straps may be positioned at various locations about the wearable article. The straps include a plurality of tabs exposed through corresponding openings in the wearable article. Each tab includes an attachment member that is capable of being selectively coupled with one or more exercise accessories. The tabs may be positioned equidistantly about each strap. The exercise accessories may comprise straps, static or flexible bands, rods, levels, poles, chains, resistance bands, weights, sandbags, weighted sleds, training parachutes, medical rehabilitation tools (such as stretch bands), or the like. The wearable article or straps may further include a plurality of snaps such that the, tabs are selectively securable to the snaps.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed:

1 . An exercise device, the exercise device comprising:
 a. a pair of pants, wherein the pair of pants comprises a first leg and a second leg, wherein the first leg comprises a first leg circumference and the second leg comprises a second leg circumference;   b. a first strap, wherein the first strap is positioned on the first leg such that the first strap extends around the first leg circumference, wherein the first strap comprises a first tab that extends from the first strap through a first opening in the first leg; and   c. a second strap, wherein the second strap is positioned on the second leg such that the second strap extends around the second leg circumference, wherein the second strap comprises a second tab that extends from the second strap;
wherein the first strap and the second strap are positioned correspondingly on the first leg and the second leg of the pair of pants.

2 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the pants further comprise a waist comprising a waist circumference and a third strap positioned on the waist such that the third strap extends around the waist circumference.

3 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the first tab and the second tab extend toward each other.

4 . The exercise device of claim 1 , wherein the first tab comprises a loop.

5 . An exercise device, the exercise device comprising:
 a. a wearable article, wherein the wearable article is configured to be worn by a user; b. a strap, wherein the strap is incorporated with the wearable article, wherein the strap comprises
 i. a first interior section,
 ii. a second interior section,
iii. a tab, wherein the tab comprises a first tab member having a first proximal end and a second tab member having a second proximal end, wherein the first proximal end of the first tab member is integral with the first interior section, wherein the second proximal end of the second tab member is integral with the second interior section, wherein the tab is configured to selectively receive a portion of an exercise accessory therethrough.

6 . The exercise device of claim 5 , wherein the first tab member further comprises a first distal end and the second tab member further comprises a second distal end, wherein the first distal end of the first tab member and the second distal end of the second tab member are free ends.

7 . The exercise device of claim 5 , wherein the first tab member further comprises a first distal end and the second tab member further comprises a second distal end, wherein the first distal end of the first tab member and the second distal end of the second tab member are connected to each other.

8 . The exercise device of claim 7 , wherein the first distal end of the first tab member and the second distal end of the second tab member are connected to each other via a fold in the tab.

9 . The exercise device of claim 5 , further comprising a snap, wherein the tab may be selectively secured to the snap.

10 . The exercise device of claim 5 , wherein the tab further comprises an attachment member positioned on the tab.

11 . A method of assembling an exercise device, the method comprising:
 a. incorporating a strap into a wearable article; b. folding the strap into a tab; c. extending the tab through an opening defined by the wearable article; and d. forming an opening in the tab configured to selectively receive a portion of an exercise accessory therethrough.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the incorporating step comprises securing the strap to an interior surface of the wearable article.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the incorporating step comprises:
 a. forming a pocket on an interior surface of the wearable article; and b. disposing the strap in the pocket.
