Abstract

A method and system relating to a mobile orchestration platform to facilitate share of data between orchestration endpoints. The orchestration endpoints may include data applications or data services located on a mobile device or remotely from the mobile device. An example platform includes a first endpoint connector associated with a first orchestration endpoint to communicate between the mobile orchestration platform and the first orchestration endpoint. A second endpoint connector associated with the second orchestration endpoint to communicate between the mobile orchestration platform and the second orchestration endpoint is included. A service module to translate a data record in an intermediate data format to either the first data format or the second data format is included.

- 30 . (canceled)

. A method of providing a mobile orchestration platform on a mobile device to share data based on one or more actions with a plurality of orchestration endpoints managing data in a data format specific to each orchestration endpoint, said one or more actions being performed by the mobile orchestration platform on data records the method comprising:
creating an endpoint connector within the mobile orchestration platform for each of said plurality of orchestration endpoints to communicate simultaneously said data records between the mobile orchestration platform and said plurality of orchestration endpoints; enabling the mobile orchestration platform to translate said data records from an intermediate data format into said data format specific to each orchestration endpoint; coordinating said actions performed by the mobile orchestration platform on said data records; and configuring said actions of the mobile configuration platform through an Application Programming Interface.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein a first and a second orchestration endpoints are a data application or a data service.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein each orchestration endpoint is located on the mobile device or located remotely and intermittently connected.

. The method of claim 31 , further comprising creating data record types corresponding to data records that can be shared between the plurality of orchestration endpoints.

. The method of claim 31 , further comprising creating events that the plurality of orchestration endpoints can trigger to initiate sharing the data record.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein the intermediate data format is an extensible markup language.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein said one or more actions comprise modifying, creating, reading, updating, deleting, sending or receiving data records or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein said coordinating includes configuring the one or more actions of the mobile orchestration platform.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein said coordinating includes configuring a sequence of said one or more actions of the mobile orchestration platform.

. The method of claim 39 , further comprising triggering actions performed by the mobile orchestration platform and said plurality of orchestration endpoints based on said sequence.

. The method of claim 37 , wherein said modifying comprises creating, deleting, updating or reading.

. The method of claim 37 , wherein said modifying is achieved by applications or services local to said mobile device.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein said one or more actions are determined by one or more modifying policies.

. The method of claim 31 , wherein said sharing further comprises synchronizing one or more data record with any of said plurality of orchestration endpoints.

. The method of claim 44 , wherein said synchronizing is determined by one or more synchronizing policies.

. The method of claim 43 , wherein said modifying policies are based on events that occur or are triggered within the mobile orchestration platform and said plurality of orchestration endpoints.

. The method of claim 45 , wherein said synchronizing policies are based on events that occur or are triggered within the mobile orchestration platform and said plurality of orchestration endpoints.

. The method of claim 31 , further comprising creating, reading, updating and deleting the definitions of said one or more actions through an Application Programming Interface.

. The method of claim 43 , further comprising creating, reading, updating and deleting the definitions of modifying polices through an Application Programming Interface.

. The method of claim 45 , further comprising creating, reading, updating and deleting the definitions of synchronizing policies through an Application Programming Interface.

. The method of claim 31 , further comprising an event processing engine to detect, trigger, and sequence events within the mobile orchestration platform and said plurality of orchestration endpoints.

. The method of claim 51 , further comprising matching the events to modifying policies.

. The method of claim 51 , further comprising matching the events to synchronizing policies.
