Method and A Device to Attach Building Trims

Abstract

This disclosure relates to building materials, in particular to attachment of insulating board and trims on building surfaces. Various embodiments of attachment clips to attach the trims on their place without nails or screws through the trim are provided. This disclosure provides an economical, fast, easy, and esthetic method to attach building trims.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A building clip kit, comprising:
 a mount clip, comprising:
 at least one hook having a shank, a bend, and a bite, 
 a trim clip, comprising: 
 at least one hook receptacle having a bottom and two vertical sides,
 wherein the number of hooks is equal to the number of hook receptacles. 
 
   
     
     
         2 . The building clip kit of  claim 1 , wherein the mount clip has two hooks and the trim clip has two hook receptacles. 
     
     
         3 . The building clip kit of  claim 2 , wherein the bend of each hook extends substantially towards each other. 
     
     
         4 . The building clip kit of  claim 2 , wherein the bend of each hook extends substantially away from each other. 
     
     
         5 . The building clip kit of  claim 1 , wherein said mount clip is attached to a piece of siding. 
     
     
         6 . The building clip kit of  claim 1 , wherein said trim clip is attached to a piece of building trim. 
     
     
         7 . The building clip kit of  claim 1 , wherein the attachment of the at least one hook with the at least one hook receptacle results is permanent. 
     
     
         8 . The building clip kit of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one hook is removably attached to the at least one hook receptacle. 
     
     
         9 . A building clip kit, comprising:
 a mount clip, comprising:
 a member having a back portion, a bottom portion, and a first prong that protrudes from the bottom portion; 
 a bracket, having a rear portion, a lower portion, and a second prong that protrudes from the lower portion,
 wherein said first prong and said second prong are substantially parallel, and 
 wherein the bracket is adjustably attached to the member via an adjusting mechanism; and 
 
   a piece of trim, having a width,
 wherein the trim is sized to snugly fit in between the first prong and the second prong. 
   
     
     
         10 . The building clip kit of  claim 9 ,
 wherein the member is equipped with a plurality of first attachment holes,   wherein said bracket is equipped with a pair of second attachment holes that correspond with the plurality of holes.   
     
     
         11 . The building clip kit of  claim 9 , wherein the member is constructed out of metal. 
     
     
         12 . The building clip kit of  claim 9 , wherein the member and the bracket have widths of 2.5 inches. 
     
     
         13 . The building clip kit of  claim 11 , wherein the bracket and member are attached such that the first prong and the second prong are substantially 3.5 inches apart. 
     
     
         14 . The building clip kit of  claim 11 , wherein the bracket and member are attached such that the first prong and the second prong are substantially 5.5 inches apart.
