Abstract

In the field of communications technologies, a message handling method and a wireless communication network are provided. The wireless communication network includes a serving evolved NodeB (eNB), a neighbor eNB, and a Relay Node (RN). The serving eNB is coupled with the neighbor eNB through an S1 interface or the X2 interface, and the RN is coupled with the serving eNB and served by the serving eNB. The serving eNB is configured to generate a notification and send the notification to the RN, wherein the notification carries information in which a neighbor cell of a neighbor eNB is marked as a serving cell of the serving eNB. The RN is configured to receive the notification and determine that the X2 interface between the serving eNB and the neighbor eNB is available based on the information carried in the notification.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A message handling method, comprising:
 receiving, by a Relay Node (RN), a notification from a serving evolved NodeB (eNB), wherein the notification carries information in which a neighbor cell of a neighbor eNB is marked as a serving cell of the serving eNB; and determining, by the RN, that the X2 interface between the serving eNB and the neighbor eNB is available based on the information carried in the notification; wherein the serving eNB is different from the neighbor eNB and is coupled with the neighbor eNB through an S1 interface or the X2 interface, and wherein the RN is coupled with the serving eNB and is served by the serving eNB.

         2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the information carried in the notification is serving cell information.

         3 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the serving cell information comprises an E-UTRAN Cell Global Identifier (ECGI) of the neighbor cell.

         4 . A message handling method, comprising:
 generating, by a serving evolved NodeB (eNB), a notification, wherein the notification carries information in which a neighbor cell of a neighbor eNB is marked as a serving cell of the serving eNB; and sending the notification to a Relay Node (RN), wherein the information carried in the notification indicates that the X2 interface between the serving eNB and the neighbor eNB is available; wherein the serving eNB is different from the neighbor eNB and is coupled with the neighbor eNB through an S1 interface or the X2 interface, and wherein the RN is coupled with the serving eNB and is served by the serving eNB.

         5 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein the information carried in the notification is serving cell information.

         6 . The method according to claim 5 , wherein the serving cell information comprises an E-UTRAN Cell Global Identifier (ECGI) of the neighbor cell.

         7 . A Relay Node (RN), comprising:
 a hardware processor; and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium coupled to the hardware processor and storing a program to be executed by the hardware processor, the program including instructions for:
 receiving a notification from a serving evolved NodeB (eNB), wherein the notification carries information in which a neighbor cell of a neighbor eNB is marked as a serving cell of the serving eNB; and
 determining that the X2 interface between the serving eNB and the neighbor eNB is available based on the information carried in the notification;
   wherein the serving eNB is different from the neighbor eNB and is coupled with the neighbor eNB through an S1 interface or the X2 interface, and wherein the RN is coupled with the serving eNB and is served by the serving eNB.

         8 . The RN according to claim 7 , wherein the information carried in the notification is serving cell information.

         9 . The RN according to claim 8 , wherein the serving cell information comprises an E-UTRAN Cell Global Identifier (ECGI) of the neighbor cell.

         10 . A serving evolved NodeB (eNB), comprising:
 a hardware processor; and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium coupled to the hardware processor and storing a program to be executed by the hardware processor, the program including instructions for:
 generating a notification, wherein the notification carries information in which a neighbor cell of a neighbor eNB is marked as a serving cell of the serving eNB; and
 sending the notification to a Relay Node (RN), wherein the information carried in the notification indicates that the X2 interface between the serving eNB and the neighbor eNB is available;
   wherein the serving eNB is different from the neighbor eNB and is coupled with the neighbor eNB through an S1 interface or the X2 interface, and wherein the RN is coupled with the serving eNB and is served by the serving eNB.

         11 . The serving eNB according to claim 10 , wherein the information carried in the notification is serving cell information.

         12 . The serving eNB according to claim 11 , wherein the serving cell information comprises an E-UTRAN Cell Global Identifier (ECGI) of the neighbor cell.

         13 . A wireless communication network, comprising:
 a serving evolved NodeB (eNB); a neighbor eNB; and a Relay Node (RN); wherein the serving eNB is different from the neighbor eNB and is coupled with the neighbor eNB through an S1 interface or the X2 interface, and wherein the RN is coupled with the serving eNB and is served by the serving eNB; wherein the serving eNB is configured to generate a notification and send the notification to the RN, wherein the notification carries information in which a neighbor cell of a neighbor eNB is marked as a serving cell of the serving eNB; and wherein the RN is configured to receive the notification and determine that the X2 interface between the serving eNB and the neighbor eNB is available based on the information carried in the notification.

         14 . The wireless communication network according to claim 13 , wherein the information carried in the notification is serving cell information.
