Automatic Website Generator
Abstract
A system and method for the automatic generation of a website. The website is created upon a user request, where the user provides identification information that is used to search an information database. The information will provide a reference to a code that relates to a template that is used to specify the layout, style and content of the website that is to be generated, and the website is then generated in accordance with the structure of the template, based on content contained in the information database. The user may engage the system and method by means of e-mail or a dedicated website or other such suitable means.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for the automatic generation of a website, the method comprising:
a) receiving from a communication device a request to generate the website and identification information; b) searching an information database, comprising one or more entries for occurrence of the identification information; and c) populating one or more template fields of a template with information from the entry in the information database containing the identification information, resulting in a generated website.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communication device is a computer transmitting data via a communication network.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the communication network is the internet.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communication device is a wireless handheld device transmitting data via a communication network.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the communication network is the Internet.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the request to generate the website made on a website for receiving requests for the automatic generation of websites.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the request to generate the website made by providing the identification information as part of a URL.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the request to generate the website is made via an e-mail.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the request made via -mail, is sent to an e mail address used for the automatic generation of websites.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the identification information is provided in the subject line of the e-mail.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the communication information is included in the body of the email.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the communication device is a phone.
13 . The method of claim 1 , where each entry in the information database contains a reference to one or more templates.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein reference is made to the one or more templates by means of a classification method.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the classification method is the standard industrial classification system.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the classification method is the North American industry classification system.
17 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the steps of:
e) sending the communication device the generated website; f) receiving approval to publish the generated website; and g) publishing the generated website on the internet.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the generated website is sent to the communication device by means of a URL that hosts the generated website.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the generated website is sent to the communication device as one or more images.
