Claims
Abstract
A device receives, from a client device, a request for a resource, and determines, based on information provided in the request, whether to terminate a connection for the request at the device. The device forwards the request to a network when the connection is not terminated at the device, and selects a target device for the resource when the connection is terminated at the device. The device also provides the request to the selected target device, receives the resource from the selected target device, and provides the resource to the client device.

24 . A method comprising:
terminating, by a device, a connection for a request; providing, by the device and to a routing broker, a query for a resource requested by the request based on terminating the connection for the request; receiving, by the device and from the routing broker, information regarding a target device based on providing the query; receiving, by the device, the resource from the target device based on the information regarding the target device; and providing, by the device, the resource as a response to the request.
25 . The method of claim 24 , further comprising:
extracting a destination internet protocol (IP) address; and determining to terminate the connection for the request based on destination IP address.
26 . The method of claim 24 , where the connection includes a transmission control protocol (TCP) connection.
27 . The method of claim 24 , further comprising:
receiving the request from a client device before terminating the connection.
28 . The method of claim 24 , further comprising:
determining that the resource is not stored in a local cache after terminating the connection and before providing the query.
29 . The method of claim 24 , further comprising:
connecting, based on the information regarding the target device, with the target device before receiving the resource from the target device.
30 . The method of claim 24 , where providing the resource comprises:
providing a proxy of the resource to a client device.
31 . A device comprising:
one or more processors to:
terminate a connection for a request;
provide, to a routing broker, a query for a resource requested by the request based on terminating the connection for the request;
receive information regarding a target device based on providing the query;
receive the resource from the target device based on the information regarding the target device; and
provide the resource as a response to the request.
32 . The device of claim 31 , where the one or more processors are further to:
extract, from the request, an internet protocol (IP) address of a client device associated with the request; and determine to terminate the connection for the request based on the IP address.
33 . The device of claim 31 , where the one or more processors are further to:
connect with the target device based on the information regarding the target device; and provide, before receiving the resource, a proxy of the request to the target device.
34 . The device of claim 31 , where, when providing the resource, the one or more processors are to:
provide a proxy of the resource to a client device.
35 . The device of claim 31 , where the one or more processors are further to:
determine that the resource is not stored in a local cache after terminating the connection and before providing the query.
36 . The device of claim 31 , where the one or more processors are further to:
determine not to terminate another connection for another request; and forward the other request to a network for additional routing based on determining not to terminate the other connection for the other request.
37 . The device of claim 31 , where the one or more processors are further to:
provide, to a client device associated with the other request, an indication that the other connection is not terminated.
38 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions, the instructions comprising:
one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
terminate a connection for a request;
provide, based on terminating the connection for the request, a query for a resource requested by the request;
receive information regarding a target device based on providing the query;
receive the resource from the target device based on the information regarding the target device; and
provide the resource as a response to the request.
39 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 38 , where the one or more instructions to provide the query comprise:
one or more instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
provide the query to a routing broker.
40 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 38 , where the instructions further comprise:
one or more instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
extract information identifying a destination port from the request; and
determine to terminate the connection based on the information identifying the destination port.
41 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 38 , where the instructions further comprise:
one or more instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
determine that the resource is not stored in a local cache after terminating the connection and before providing the query.
42 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 41 , where the local cache is provided in or connected locally to the device.
43 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 38 ,
where the information regarding the target device comprises an internet protocol (IP) address of the target device, and where the instructions further comprise:
one or more instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:
