Abstract

In a proximity service, when positional information is notifies to a server in advance and the proximity service is started, UE that transmits and receives data receives the proximity degree including a communication target UE from the server before proximity discovery is performed to discover the communication target UE, and the UE controls unnecessary proximity discovery by discovering the communication target UE based on the proximity degree.

         6 . A UE (User Equipment), comprising:
 a controller that initiates a procedure for registering positional information of the UE on a server device capable of detecting a proximity UE; and   a receiver that receives a proximity alert message from the server device,   wherein   the proximity alert message includes information based on the proximity UE positioned in proximity to the UE.   
     
     
         7 . The UE according to  claim 6 , wherein the proximity alert message includes at least information for identifying an application. 
     
     
         8 . The UE according to  claim 6 , wherein the proximity alert message further includes information for performing direct communication using a WLAN access method. 
     
     
         9 . The UE according to  claim 6 , wherein the controller further detects that another device differing from the UE is in proximity to the UE, based on the proximity alert message. 
     
     
         10 . The UE according to  claim 6 , wherein the positional information of the UE is managed by a managing device differing from the server device. 
     
     
         11 . A server device capable of detecting a proximity UE (User Equipment) positioned in proximity to a UE, the server device comprising:
 a controller that registers positional information of a UE and positional information of a proximity UE; and   an transmitter that transmits a proximity alert message,   wherein   the proximity alert message includes information based on the proximity UE.   
     
     
         12 . The server device according to  claim 11 , wherein the proximity alert message includes at least information for identifying an application. 
     
     
         13 . The server device according to  claim 11 , wherein the proximity alert message further includes information for performing direct communication using a WLAN access method. 
     
     
         14 . The server device according to  claim 11 , wherein the positional information of the UE is managed by a managing device differing from the server device. 
     
     
         15 . A communication method for a UE (User Equipment), the communication method comprising:
 initiating a procedure for registering positional information of the UE on a server device capable of detecting a proximity UE; and   receiving a proximity alert message from the server device,   wherein   the proximity alert message includes information based on the proximity UE positioned in proximity to the UE.   
     
     
         16 . The communication method according to  claim 15 , wherein the proximity alert message includes at least information for identifying an application. 
     
     
         17 . The communication method according to  claim 15 , wherein the proximity alert message further includes information for performing direct communication using a WLAN access method. 
     
     
         18 . The communication method according to  claim 15 , the communication method further comprising detecting that another device differing from the UE is in proximity to the UE, based on the proximity alert message. 
     
     
         19 . The communication method according to  claim 15 , wherein the positional information of the UE is managed by a managing device differing from the server device. 
     
     
         20 . A communication method for a server device capable of detecting a proximity UE (User Equipment) positioned in proximity to a UE, the communication method comprising:
 registering positional information of a UE and positional information of a proximity UE; and   transmitting a proximity alert message,   wherein   the proximity alert message includes information based on the proximity UE.   
     
     
         21 . The communication method according to  claim 20 , wherein the proximity alert message includes at least information for identifying an application. 
     
     
         22 . The communication method according to  claim 20 , wherein the proximity alert message further includes information for performing direct communication using a WLAN access method.
