Heating assembly
Abstract
A heating assembly includes a plenum that has an intake and an exhaust. A motor is positioned within the plenum. A fan coupled to the motor. The fan urges air inwardly through the intake and outwardly through the exhaust when the motor is actauted. A water heater is provided. A heat exchanger is positioned within the plenum. The heat exchanger is in thermal communication with the water heater. The heat exchanger is positioned between the intake and the exhaust. A thermostat is coupled to the plenum. The thermostat is electrically coupled to the pump and the motor. The thermostat actuates the pump and the motor for a selected duration of time.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A heating assembly configured to exchange heat with a water heater, said assembly comprising:
a plenum having an intake and an exhaust; a motor positioned within said plenum; a fan coupled to said motor, said fan urging air inwardly through said intake and outwardly through said exhaust when said motor is actauted; a water heater; a heat exchanger positioned within said plenum, said heat exchanger being in thermal communication with said water heater, said heat exchanger being positioned between said intake and said exhaust; and a thermostat coupled to said plenum, said thermostat being electrically coupled to said pump and said motor, said thermostat actuating said pump and said motor for a selected duration of time.
2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said heat exchanger comprising a coil configured to have a fluid urged therethrough.
3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein a supply conduit fluidly coupled to coil, said supply conduit being fluidly coupled to an outlet of said water heater, said coil being heated by a fluid contained in said water heater.
4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein a return conduit fluidly coupled to said heat coil, said return conduit being fluidly coupled to an inlet of said water heater to return the fluid to the water heater after said coil exchanges heat with the fluid.
5 . The assembly according to claim 4 , wherein a pump fluidly coupled to said supply conduit, said pump urging the fluid through said coil.
6 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein a filter removably positioned within said plenum, said filter being positioned between said fan and said intake, said filter filtering the air urged by said fan.
7 . A heating assembly configured to exchange heat with a water heater, said assembly comprising:
a plenum having an intake and an exhaust; a motor positioned within said plenum; a fan coupled to said motor, said fan urging air inwardly through said intake and outwardly through said exhaust when said motor is actauted; a water heater; a heat exchanger positioned within said plenum, said heat exchanger being in thermal communication with said water heater, said heat exchanger being positioned between said intake and said exhaust, said heat exchanger comprising:
a coil configured to have a fluid urged therethrough;
a supply conduit fluidly coupled to coil, said supply conduit being fluidly coupled to an outlet of said water heater, said coil being heated by a fluid contained in said water heater;
a return conduit fluidly coupled to said heat coil, said return conduit being fluidly coupled to an inlet of said water heater to return the fluid to the water heater after said coil exchanges heat with the fluid; and
a pump fluidly coupled to said supply conduit, said pump urging the fluid through said coil;
a thermostat coupled to said plenum, said thermostat being electrically coupled to said pump and said motor, said thermostat actuating said pump and said motor for a selected duration of time; and a filter removably positioned within said plenum, said filter being positioned between said fan and said intake, said filter filtering the air urged by said fan.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
