Abstract
Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for tagging and searching for content. In some embodiments, a tagging mechanism is provided that allows the creation of tag chains for tagging content. In some embodiments, once the content is tagged, a search tool is provided that allows the search for content, through the search for tag chains.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for defining a user interface (UI) for specifying tags for a piece of content, the method comprising:
defining a first set of UI items for selecting a first tag; defining a second set of UI items for selecting a second tag; and defining a third set of UI items for selecting a relationship operator that identifies a relationship between the first tag and the second tag.
2 . The method of claim 1 further comprising defining a display area for displaying a text representation of the relationship between the first tag and the second tag.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the relationship between the first and second tag defines a link of a tag chain that includes one or more links.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third set of UI items is further for selecting at least one urinary operator that operates on a single tag to define a link of a tag chain that includes one or more links.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the relationship between the first and second tag defines a hierarchy between the first and second tag.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third set of UI items comprises a list of different operators for identifying the relationship.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first and second tags is a sponsored tag.
8 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a computer program for execution by at least one processor, the computer program comprising sets of instructions for:
receiving identification of a first tag; receiving identification of a second tag; receiving identification of a relationship operator; and defining a link of a tag chain by creating a relationship between the first tag and the second tag using the relationship operator to describe the relationship between the first tag and the second tag.
9 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the relationship between the first and second tag defines a hierarchical relationship between the first and second tag.
10 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein at least one of the first and second tags is a sponsored tag.
11 . A method of searching for content, said method comprising:
receiving identification of a plurality of tags associated with the content; receiving identification of a relationship between two tags within the plurality of tags; and retrieving the content based on the relationship between the two tags.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein receiving identification of the relationship comprises receiving identification of an operator that describes the relationship between the two tags.
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the relationship is a hierarchical relationship between the two tags.
14 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the content is retrieved by filtering out the content from a list of content items.
15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the content is retrieved by sorting the content to the top position in a list of content items.
16 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a computer program for generating a graphical user interface (GUI), the GUI comprising:
a first display area for receiving user comment; and a second display area for displaying a list of sponsored and non-sponsored tags to input into the first display area.
17 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein each tag comprises one or more keywords.
18 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the second display area displays each sponsored tag prior to any non-sponsored tag in the list of tags.
19 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the second display area displays each sponsored tag with a marking to distinguish the sponsored tags from other non-sponsored tags.
20 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the GUI further comprises a third display area for displaying a user-selected category, wherein the list of sponsored and non-sponsored tag is displayed in the second display area based on the user-selected category.
21 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the first display area displays sponsored tags differently from other input text.
22 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the tags in the list of tags allows a user to specify a tag chain.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
