Abstract
A contact lens storage system for includes a container has a top end, a bottom end and a peripheral wall extending therebetween. The top end is open and the container is substantially hollow. The container may contain a fluid. The peripheral wall has a groove therein. A dispenser is removably coupled to the top end. A lens case is provided that is removably positioned within the groove.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A contact lens storage system combining a solution container and a carrying case, said system comprising:
a container having a top end, a bottom end and a peripheral wall extending therebetween, said top end being open, said container being substantially hollow, said container being configured to contain a fluid, said peripheral wall having an outer surface, said peripheral wall having a lower portion, a tapered portion and an upper portion, said tapered portion being positioned closer to said top end than said bottom end, said tapered portion tapering inwardly between said lower portion and said upper portion such that said upper portion has a diameter being less than a diameter of said lower portion, said peripheral wall having a groove therein, said groove extending downwardly between a lower threshold of said tapered portion and said lower portion, said groove having an open upper end, said groove extending inwardly toward a center of said container such that said groove has an open end positioned within said tapered portion; a dispenser removably coupled to said top end; and a lens case being removably positioned within said groove.

4 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said groove has a central bounding surface opposite said open upper end and a pair of lateral bounding surfaces each extending between said outer surface of said peripheral wall and said central bounding surface, said lateral bounding surfaces being spaced from each other, a junction between said outer surface and each of said lateral bounding surfaces extending inwardly from each of said lateral bounding surfaces to define a pair of lips.
5 . The assembly according to claim 4 , wherein a plurality of grips coupled to said central bounding surface, said grips being spaced apart from each other and distributed along said groove.
6 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said container has an upper portion; and said dispenser includes a cap having a top wall and a peripheral wall coupled to and extending downwardly therefrom.
7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , further comprising a nozzle being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top wall, said nozzle having a distal end with respect to said top wall, said distal end being open such that said nozzle is in fluid communication with an interior of said container, said nozzle being configured to selectively dispense the fluid.
8 . The assembly according to claim 7 , further comprising a lid being removably positionable on said nozzle to close said distal end, a strap coupled between said lid and said cap, said strap retaining said lid on said cap when said lid is removed from said nozzle.
9 . The assembly according to claim 4 , wherein:
said groove has a plurality of grips; and said lens case has a first side, a second side and a perimeter side extending therebetween, said first side abutting said grips and said perimeter side abutting each of said lateral bounding surfaces of said groove when said lens case is positioned within said groove, said lips frictionally engaging said lens case such that said lens case is retained within said groove.
10 . A contact lens storage system combining a solution container and a carrying case, said system comprising:
a container having a top end, a bottom end and a peripheral wall extending therebetween, said top end being open, said container being substantially hollow, said peripheral wall having an outer surface, said peripheral wall having a lower portion, a tapered portion and an upper portion, said tapered portion being positioned closer to said top end than said bottom end, said tapered portion tapering inwardly between said lower portion and said upper portion such that said upper portion has a diameter being less than a diameter of said lower portion, said peripheral wall having a groove extending downwardly between a lower threshold of said tapered portion and said lower portion, said groove extending inwardly toward a center of said container such that said groove has an open end positioned within said tapered portion, said groove having a central bounding surface opposite said open upper end and a pair of lateral bounding surfaces each extending between said outer surface of said peripheral wall and said central bounding surface, said lateral bounding surfaces being spaced from each other, a junction between said outer surface and each of said lateral bounding surfaces extending inwardly from each of said lateral bounding surfaces to define a pair of lips; a plurality of grips coupled to said central bounding surface, said grips being spaced apart from each other and distributed along said groove; a dispenser removably coupled to said top end, said dispenser including:
a cap having a top wall and a peripheral wall coupled to and extending downwardly therefrom;
a nozzle being coupled to and extending upwardly from said top wall, said nozzle having a distal end with respect to said top wall, said distal end being open such that said nozzle is in fluid communication with an interior of said container, said nozzle being configured to selectively dispense the fluid;
a lid being removably positionable on said nozzle to close said distal end; and
a strap coupled between said lid and said cap, said strap retaining said lid on said cap when said lid is removed from said nozzle;
a lens case having a first side, a second side and a perimeter side extending therebetween, said lens case being removably positioned within said groove such that said first side abuts said grips and said perimeter side abuts each of said lateral bounding surfaces of said groove, said lips frictionally engaging said lens case such that said lens case is retained within said groove.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
