Abstract

In a video display apparatus A, a controller 9 , while displaying video processed by a video processor 4 on a video display 3 , displays LUTs 45 R, 45 G, and 45 B which are tables of correction data for correcting luminance levels of red, green, and blue respectively. The controller 9 re-calculates and rewrites the correction data based on one adjustment point or two or more adjustment points P 1 and P 2 adjusted by the user.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A display device, comprising:
a display configured to display an image, the display comprising:
a first area where content is displayed; and
a second area where an adjuster that adjusts the content is displayed,
wherein the adjuster comprises a reference line and an adjustment line, and wherein the content and the adjuster are displayed together.

3 . The display device according to claim 2 , wherein the reference line is a graph corresponding to a previously stored correction data table.

4 . The display device according to claim 2 , wherein the reference line is indicated by a broken line.

5 . The display device according to claim 4 , wherein the adjustment line is indicated by a solid line.

6 . The display device according to claim 3 , wherein the adjustment line is a graph representing a relationship between:
input values before correction based on the correction data table; and output values after correction based on the correction data table.

7 . The display device according to claim 2 , further comprising a control unit configured to control the display to display the content and the adjuster together.

8 . The display device according to claim 7 , further comprising:
an operation unit configured to output an operation signal, wherein the adjustment line has an adjustment point, of which a setting can be changed, and wherein the control unit is further configured to changeably control the adjustment point based on the operation signal.

9 . The display device according to claim 7 , wherein:
the adjustment line has an adjustment point, of which a setting can be changed; and the control unit is further configured to control display of a plurality of adjusters corresponding to a plurality of color components in the second area.

10 . The display device according to claim 9 , wherein the plurality of adjusters comprise red, green, and blue adjusters.

11 . The display device according to claim 9 , wherein the plurality of adjusters are each a graph in which:
one of vertical and horizontal axes represents input luminance level; and another of the vertical and horizontal axes represents output luminance level.

12 . The display device according to claim 11 , further comprising:
an operation unit configured to output an operation signal, wherein the control unit is further configured to set a number of adjustment points on the graph based on the operation signal.

13 . The display device according to claim 11 , further comprising:
an operation unit configured to output an operation signal, wherein the control unit is further configured to adjust output luminance levels at the adjustment points based on the operation signal.

14 . The display device according to claim 12 , wherein the control unit is further configured to determine an interval between the adjustment points based on the number of adjustment points.

15 . The display device according to claim 12 , wherein input luminance levels at the adjustment points are fixed.

16 . The display device according to claim 7 , wherein, upon accepting a cancelling operation, the control unit is further configured to not apply a correction data table based on adjustment operation as a look-up table.

17 . The display device according to claim 7 , wherein, upon accepting a setting operation, the control unit is further configured to apply a correction data table based on adjustment operation as a look-up table.

18 . The display device according to claim 7 , wherein, upon accepting a resetting operation, the control unit is further configured to control display, on the display, of a message asking whether or not to reset a correction data table that is currently being applied to a look-up table.

19 . The display device according to claim 7 , wherein, upon accepting a resetting operation, the control unit is further configured to replace a correction data table that is currently being applied to a look-up table with a previously stored correction data table.

20 . The display device according to claim 7 , wherein, upon accepting a first operation, the control unit is further configured to control display of an adjustment point setting menu on the display.

21 . The display device according to claim 7 , wherein, upon accepting a second operation, the control unit is further configured to control display of the adjuster in the second area.
