Abstract

An electro-optical device comprises a pair of substrates, a first microlens positioned at an inner side in a display region of at least one substrate of the pair of substrates, and a second microlens positioned further to an outer side in the display region of the at least one substrate than the first microlens. The collection efficiency of the first microlens is lower than the collection efficiency of the second microlens.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . An electro-optical device comprising:
a pair of substrates; a first microlens positioned at an inner side in a display region of at least one substrate of the pair of substrates; and a second microlens positioned further to an outer side in the display region of the at least one substrate than the first microlens, wherein the collection efficiency of the first microlens is lower than the collection efficiency of the second microlens.

         2 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a plurality of pixels arranged in the display region, wherein the first microlens is provided corresponding to a first pixel positioned at the inner side in the display region, and the second microlens is provided corresponding to a second pixel positioned at the outer side in the display region.

3 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , wherein a curvature of the first microlens is smaller than a curvature of the second microlens.

4 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , wherein a diameter of the first microlens is smaller than a diameter of the second microlens.

         5 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 ,
wherein an inclination angle with respect to one face of a peripheral edge portion of the first microlens is smaller than an inclination angle with respect to one face of a peripheral edge portion of the second microlens.

6 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , further comprising a liquid crystal layer interposed between the pair of substrates.

         7 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a third microlens arranged corresponding to a non-display region surrounding the display region, wherein a shape of the third microlens is the same as a shape of the second microlens.

8 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , wherein microlenses having a same collection efficiency as one another are arranged on another substrate of the pair of substrates.

9 . The electro-optical device according to claim 1 , wherein microlenses having a same collection efficiency as one another are arranged on one substrate of the pair of substrates.

10 . An electronic apparatus comprising the electro-optical device according to claim 1 .
