Abstract

An adjustable pedestal table for providing a selectively deployable, anchored support surface in a pool above the water surface comprises a planar table member suitable to provide a supporting surface for objects, a adjustable shaft, and a hollow base stand configured to be filled with material to selectively increase or decrease its weight. The adjustable shaft includes an upper pole telescopically disposed in a lower pole, with the upper pole is fixedly attached to the bottom surface of the table member, the lower pole is fixedly attached to the top surface of the base stand, and the upper pole adjustable to any position in the lower pole between an extended position and a retracted position. A conventional lever operated closure clamp is disposed at the interface between the upper pole and lower pole to allow the adjustable shaft to be selectively locked in a desired position.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An adjustable pedestal table for placement in a pool, comprising:
a table member having a planar top surface and a bottom surface, wherein said table member includes integrated cup holders; a base stand having a top base surface, wherein the base stand defines a hollow body and includes a fill hole enabling material to be added or removed therefrom to selectively increase or decrease its weight; a fill cap adapted to be selectively secured placed over the fill hole to prevent material from being added or removed from the base stand; and at least one adjustable shaft having an upper pole and lower pole, with the upper pole is fixedly attached to the bottom surface of the table member and the lower pole is fixedly attached to the top base surface of the base stand, wherein said upper pole and said lower pole are configured to enable height of the table member from the base stand to be adjusted; and a closure clamp integral with the at least one adjustable shaft which enables the upper pole and lower pole to be selectively fixed in place relative to one another.

2 . The adjustable pedestal table of claim 1 , wherein said at least one adjustable shaft is adapted such that the upper pole telescopically slid in and out of the lower pole to any position between an extended position and a retracted position to enable the height of the table member from the base stand to be adjusted.

         3 .- 7 . (canceled)

8 . The adjustable pedestal table of claim 1 , wherein said cup holders each define at least one of a depressions in the top surface and an aperture in the table member.

9 . The adjustable pedestal table of claim 1 , wherein said cup holders each define a depression in the top surface.

10 . The adjustable pedestal table of claim 1 , wherein said cup holders each define an aperture in the table member.

         11 .- 14 . (canceled)

15 . An adjustable pedestal table for placement in a pool, comprising:
a table member having a planar top surface and a bottom surface, wherein said table member includes integrated cup holders which each define an aperture in the table member; a base stand having a top base surface, wherein the base stand defines a hollow body and includes a fill hole enabling material to be added or removed therefrom to selectively increase or decrease its weight; a fill cap adapted to be selectively secured placed over the fill hole to prevent material from being added or removed from the base stand; at least one adjustable shaft having an upper pole and lower pole, with the upper pole is fixedly attached to the bottom surface of the table member and the lower pole is fixedly attached to the top base surface of the base stand, wherein said upper pole and said lower pole are configured to enable height of the table member from the base stand to be adjusted.

16 . The adjustable pedestal table of claim 15 , wherein said at least one adjustable shaft is adapted such that the upper pole telescopically slid in and out of the lower pole to any position between an extended position and a retracted position to enable the height of the table member from the base stand to be adjusted.
