Footwear With LED System
Abstract
A shoe sole including a first wall and a second wall, wherein the second wall is opposite the first wall at a spaced distance from the first wall, the first wall and second wall form a continuous channel therebetween for receiving an LED belt, the LED belt comprising a plurality of LED circuit boxes containing LED lights; the channel further including a plurality of recessed cavities for receiving the LED circuit boxes including the LED lights and a plurality of arcuate grooves for receiving portions of the LED belt that do not include the LED circuit boxes, wherein the plurality of arcuate grooves are positioned in an alternating pattern with the plurality of recessed cavities, the protrusions further forming a generally “C” shape indentation proximate to a perimeter along a first lateral side of the sole and a generally reverse “C” shape indentation proximate to the perimeter along a second lateral side of the sole.

10 . The sole of claim 5 , wherein a first section of the channel positioned along an anterior portion of the bottom side of the first layer proximate to the perimeter, includes a plurality of recessed cavities and a plurality of arcuate grooves, and a second section of the channel positioned along a posterior heel portion of the bottom side of the first layer proximate to the perimeter, is substantially U-shaped.
11 . The sole of claim 9 , wherein a portion of the LED belt is retained within the plurality of arcuate grooves of the channel.
12 . The sole of claim 9 , wherein soldering technology is utilized to connect the combined LED light and mini circuit board unit to wiring within the LED belt.
13 . The sole of claim 11 , wherein the portion of the LED belt retained within the plurality of arcuate grooves of the channel twists in the form of a loop in at least one of the plurality of arcuate grooves.
14 . The sole of claim 1 , wherein the first lateral side and the second lateral side each comprise a material that is at least semi transparent.
15 . The sole of claim 2 , wherein the speed, color combination or brightness of the LED lights is controlled by a computing device, wherein the computing device is in communication with the main circuit board of the shoe sole.
16 . The sole of claim 15 , wherein the speed, color, color combination or brightness of the LED lights is further synchronized to music.
17 . The sole of claim 15 , wherein the computing device is a smart phone.
18 . The sole of claim 2 , wherein the channel includes a plurality of recessed cavities and a plurality of arcuate grooves, positioned in an alternating pattern, the arcuate grooves further forming a generally “C” shape indentation on the bottom side of the first layer proximate to the perimeter along the first lateral side and a generally reverse “C” shape indentation on the bottom side of the first layer proximate to the perimeter along the second lateral side.
19 . The sole of claim 18 , wherein an LED belt is secured within the channel.
