Floral Greeting Card and Optional Gift Box

Abstract

A floral greeting card and/or gift box has a base box with a first cut-out region in a top portion thereof. A floral foam is received within at least a portion of the base box and beneath the first cut-out region. Cut flowers are received by the first cut-out region and the stems thereof are received by the floral foam to maintain the vitality of the floral arrangement. The base box may also have a second cut-out region for receiving a physical gift or the like, such that the entire presentation includes a floral arrangement and a physical gift. A top, preferably of transparent plastic material, may be received over the base box and has sufficient elevation to accommodate the floral arrangement and any gift contained therein.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A floral gift box, comprising:
 a base box having a first cut-out region in a top thereof;   floral foam within said base box and beneath said first cut-out region; and   a cover receiving said base box.   
     
     
         2 . The floral gift box according to  claim 1 , wherein said floral foam comprises a block of floral foam. 
     
     
         3 . The floral gift box according to  claim 2 , wherein said block of floral foam is maintained in a sealed tray. 
     
     
         4 . The floral gift box according to  claim 3 , wherein said sealed tray is maintained within only a portion of said base box. 
     
     
         5 . The floral gift box according to  claim 2 , wherein said first cut-out region receives a floral arrangement having cut stems received by said block of floral foam. 
     
     
         6 . The floral gift box according to  claim 5 , wherein said base box comprises a box slidably receiving a sleeve thereover, said sleeve having said first cut-out region. 
     
     
         7 . The floral gift box according to  claim 6 , wherein said cover is transparent and interlocks said box and sleeve. 
     
     
         8 . The floral gift box according to  claim 5 , wherein said top of said base box has an area adjacent said first cut-out region receiving a physical gift. 
     
     
         9 . The floral gift box according to  claim 8 , wherein said physical gift is received in a second cut-out region in said top of said base box. 
     
     
         10 . The floral gift box according to  claim 9 , wherein said first and second cut-out regions complement each other. 
     
     
         11 . A floral greeting card, comprising:
 a base box having a first cut-out region in a top thereof; and   floral foam within said base box and beneath said first cut-out region.   
     
     
         12 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 11 , wherein said floral foam comprises a block of floral foam. 
     
     
         13 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 12 , wherein said block of floral foam is maintained in a sealed tray. 
     
     
         14 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 13 , wherein said sealed tray is maintained within only a portion of said base box. 
     
     
         15 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 12 , wherein said first cut-out region receives a floral arrangement having cut stems received by said block of floral foam. 
     
     
         16 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 15 , wherein said base box comprises a box slidably receiving a sleeve thereover, said sleeve having said first cut-out region. 
     
     
         17 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 16 , wherein a top interlocks said box and sleeve. 
     
     
         18 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 15 , wherein said top of said base box has an area adjacent said first cut-out region receiving a physical gift. 
     
     
         19 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 18 , wherein said physical gift is received in a second cut-out region in said top of said base box. 
     
     
         20 . The floral greeting card according to  claim 19 , wherein said first and second cut-out regions complement each other.
