Abstract

The present invention relates a blow-molded case and the strengthened structure thereof. The blow-molded case has a housing which is composed of an inner shell and an outer shell. The inner shell and the outer shell are connected at a first position by a connecting piece so that a cavity is formed between the inner shell and the outer shell. The inner shell and the outer shell are at least partially pressed together at the corner of the housing so that the connecting piece, the inner shell and the outer shell enclose to form a closed support structure. The implementation of the present invention can realize a blow-molded case of higher strength and higher resistance to impact.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A strengthened structure for a blow-molded case, comprising a housing, said housing comprising an inner shell and an outer shell, said inner shell and said outer shell being connected at a first position by a connecting piece so that a cavity is formed between said inner shell and said outer shell;
 wherein said inner shell and said outer shell are pressed together at least partially at a corner of said housing; whereby said connecting piece, said inner shell and said outer shell enclose to form a closed support structure.

         2 . The strengthened structure of claim 1 , wherein a cross section of said closed support structure is a closed trilateral support structure, a first side of said trilateral support structure being formed by a portion of said connecting piece lying between said outer shell and said inner shell, a second side of said trilateral support structure being formed by a portion of said outer shell lying between said connecting piece and said corner, a third side of said trilateral support structure being formed by a portion of said inner shell lying between said connecting piece and said corner.

         3 . The strengthened structure of claim 1 , wherein said outer shell and said inner shell form a smooth rounded corner at said corner.

         4 . The strengthened structure of claim 1 , wherein said outer shell and said inner shell form a chamfer at said corner.

         5 . The strengthened structure of claim 1 , wherein said inner shell comprises a first convex part protruding toward said outer shell, said first convex part being pressed close to said outer shell.

         6 . The strengthened structure of claim 1 , wherein said outer shell comprises a second convex part protruding toward said inner shell, said second convex part being pressed close to said inner shell.

         7 . The strengthened structure of claim 1 , wherein said inner shell gradually gets close to said outer shell at a location near said corner in a direction toward said corner until said inner shell and said outer shell are pressed together.

         8 . A blow-molded case with a strengthened structure, comprising the strengthened structure as claimed in any one of claims 1 - 7 .

         9 . The blow-molded case of claim 8 , wherein said corner is located at a junction of a side wall and an adjacent side wall of said blow-molded case.

         10 . The blow-molded case of claim 8 , wherein said corner is located at a junction of a side wall and a bottom of said blow-molded case.
