Elevated Hoop Shaped Goal Apparatus
Abstract
A game of Hoopball and the method thereof is provided as a competitive team based sport that incorporates elements of various field sports while emphasizing strategy and sportsmanship. The game of Hoopball utilizes regulations that govern player participation, scoring, physical contact, and equipment with an extremely low probability of serious injury or mid-brain concussions. The current regulations governing the game of Hoopball includes an elevated hoop shaped goal apparatus and a game ball as central game pieces. The object of the game of Hoopball is to coordinate a team of players to score points by throwing or kicking the game ball through the elevated hoop shaped goal apparatus while the respective goal apparatus is defended by an opposing team. At the end of the game session the team that scored the most points is declared the winner.
