Family Cushion

Abstract

A family cushion for displaying a photograph is provided. The family cushion comprises a pillow casing having a top wall and a bottom wall with the top wall secured to the bottom wall along a peripheral edge of the top wall and the bottom wall. An amount of stuffing material is sandwiched between the top wall and the bottom wall. A first photograph is imprinted on the top wall of the pillow casing. The imprinted pillow casing provides a striking and unique means of decorating a space.

1 . A family cushion for displaying a photograph, the family cushion comprising:
 a pillow casing having a top wall and a bottom wall, the top wall secured to the bottom wall along a peripheral edge of the top wall and the bottom wall;   an amount of stuffing material between the top wall and the bottom wall; and   a first photograph imprinted on the top wall of the pillow casing;   wherein the imprinted pillow casing provides a striking and unique means of decorating a space.   
     
     
         2 . The family cushion of  claim 1  wherein the top wall is double stitched and reinforced with the bottom wall. 
     
     
         3 . The family cushion of  claim 1  and further comprising:
 a closable opening between the top wall and the bottom wall; and 
 mechanical closing means along the closable opening for selectively opening and closing the closable opening. 
 
     
     
         4 . The family cushion of  claim 3  wherein the mechanical closing means is selected from the group consisting of zipper, snaps, and buttons. 
     
     
         5 . The family cushion of  claim 1  and further comprising:
 a side wall secured between the top wall and the side wall. 
 
     
     
         6 . The family cushion of  claim 5  wherein the pillow casing has a length of approximately two feet, a width of approximately two feet, a depth of approximately eight inches. 
     
     
         7 . The family cushion of  claim 5  wherein the top wall and the bottom wall are double stitched and reinforced with the side wall. 
     
     
         8 . The family cushion of  claim 5  and further comprising:
 a closable opening between the top wall and the side wall; and 
 mechanical closing means along the closable opening for selectively opening and closing the closable opening. 
 
     
     
         9 . The family cushion of  claim 8  wherein the mechanical closing means is selected from the group consisting of zipper, snaps, and buttons. 
     
     
         10 . The family cushion of  claim 1  wherein the top wall and the bottom wall are constructed from a cushiony cotton casing. 
     
     
         11 . The family cushion of  claim 1  wherein the stuffing material is selected from the group consisting of a lofty foam, cotton batting, and goose down material. 
     
     
         12 . The family cushion of  claim 1  wherein the pillow casing is a removable covering colored in a neutral hue. 
     
     
         13 . The family cushion of  claim 1  wherein the first photograph is also imprinted on the bottom wall. 
     
     
         14 . The family cushion of  claim 1  and further comprising:
 a second photograph imprinted on the bottom wall, the second photograph being different than the first photograph. 
 
     
     
         15 . A method for displaying a photograph, the method comprising:
 providing a pillow casing having a top wall and a bottom wall;   securing the top wall to the bottom wall along a peripheral edge of the top wall and the bottom wall;   providing an amount of stuffing material between the top wall and the bottom wall;   imprinting a first photograph imprinted on the top wall of the pillow casing; and   providing a striking and unique means of decorating a space.   
     
     
         16 . A family cushion for displaying a photograph, the family cushion comprising:
 a pillow casing having a top wall and a bottom wall, the top wall secured to the bottom wall along a peripheral edge of the top wall and the bottom wall;   a closable opening between the top wall and the bottom wall;   mechanical closing means along the closable opening for selectively opening and closing the closable opening;   an amount of stuffing material between the top wall and the bottom wall;   a first photograph imprinted on the top wall of the pillow casing; and   a second photograph imprinted on the bottom wall of the pillow casing;   wherein the imprinted pillow casing provides a striking and unique means of decorating a space.   
     
     
         17 . The family cushion of  claim 16  and further comprising:
 a side wall secured between the top wall and the side wall. 
 
     
     
         18 . The family cushion of  claim 17  and further comprising:
 a closable opening between the top wall and the side wall; and 
 mechanical closing means along the closable opening for selectively opening and closing the closable opening. 
 
     
     
         19 . The family cushion of  claim 16  wherein the second photograph is identical to the first photograph. 
     
     
         20 . The family cushion of  claim 16  wherein the second photograph is different than the first photograph.
