Rotatable and height adjustable table
Abstract
A table unit including a work surface with a first perimeter side and a second perimeter side. The table unit has a base that includes a floor support, a pedestal that extends upwardly from the floor support, and a top support. An upright wall portion is connected to the base. The pedestal has an adjustable length. The top support is supported on the pedestal and includes a frame and a slide. The frame is rotatable about an axis and the slide is linearly movable with respect to the frame. The work surface is mounted to the slide and is movable with the slide. Further, the work surface can rotate with the frame between at least a first position, with the first perimeter side adjacent the upright wall portion, and a second position, with the second perimeter side adjacent the upright wall portion.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
1 . A table unit comprising:
a work surface having an upper surface, a lower surface opposite said upper surface, a first perimeter side and a second perimeter side; a base including a floor support, a pedestal and a top support; and an upright wall portion connected to said base; said pedestal extending upwardly from said floor support, said pedestal having an adjustable length extending in a first direction; said top support supported on said pedestal, said top support including a frame and a slide, said frame rotatable about an axis, said slide linearly movable with respect to said frame, said work surface mounted on said slide and movable with said slide, said work surface rotating with said frame between at least a first position with said first perimeter side adjacent said upright wall portion and a second position with said second perimeter side adjacent said upright wall portion.
2 . The table unit of claim 1 wherein said upright wall portion includes a lower section and an upper section, said upper section movable with respect to said lower section in a direction generally parallel to said pedestal.
3 . The table unit of claim 2 including a connecting frame member connected between said pedestal and said upper section of said upright wall portion, said connecting frame member extending generally perpendicular to said pedestal, wherein adjustment of said length of said pedestal simultaneously raises or lowers said work surface and said upper section of said upright wall portion.
4 . The table unit of claim 3 wherein said floor support is connected to said upright wall portion.
5 . The table unit of claim 4 wherein said connecting frame member defines a cable management channel.
6 . The table unit of claim 5 wherein said cable management channel is a vertical opening within said connecting frame, said vertical opening positioned adjacent said upright wall portion.
7 . The table unit of claim 6 wherein said work surface is generally rectangular, such that said first perimeter side is longer than said second perimeter side.
8 . The table unit of claim 7 wherein said pedestal includes first and second telescoping sections.
9 . The table unit of claim 8 wherein said frame defines a channel having a first end and a second end, said slide being slidably movable within said channel between said first and second ends.
10 . The table unit of claim 9 wherein said rotation of said frame and said movement of said slide and said adjustment of said pedestal length are independent of one another.
11 . A table unit comprising:
an upright wall having a width, an upper end and a lower end, said lower end capable of supporting said upright wall on a floor; a height adjustable pedestal, said pedestal including a portion connected to said upright wall; and a work surface supported on said height adjustable pedestal, said work surface including a first side edge and a second side edge forming a corner therebetween, said work surface rotatable on said pedestal between a first position with said first side edge facing said upright wall and a second position with said second side edge facing said upright wall.
12 . The table unit of claim 11 wherein said height adjustable pedestal includes a top support having a frame and a slide.
13 . The table unit of claim 12 wherein said frame is rotatable about an axis, and said slide is linearly movable with respect to said frame.
14 . The table unit of claim 13 wherein said work surface mounted on said slide and movable with said slide, said work surface rotating with said frame between at least said first position and said second position.
15 . The table unit of claim 14 wherein said upper end of said upright wall is movable with respect to said lower end in a direction generally parallel to said height adjustable pedestal.
16 . The table unit of claim 15 wherein adjustment of said length of said height adjustable pedestal simultaneously raises or lowers said work surface and said upper end of said upright wall.
17 . The table unit of claim 16 wherein said portion connected to said pedestal and said upright wall defines a cable management channel positioned adjacent said upright wall.
18 . A table unit comprising:
a base including a floor support, a pedestal and a top support, said pedestal extending upwardly from said floor support and having an adjustable length extending in a first direction; an upright wall portion connected to said base and having a lower section and an upper section, said upper section movable with respect to said lower section; and a work surface having an first perimeter side and a second perimeter side, said work surface supported on said top support; said top support supported on said pedestal, said top support including a frame and a slide, said frame rotatable about an axis, said slide linearly movable with respect to said frame, said work surface mounted on said slide and movable with said slide, said work surface rotating with said frame between at least a first position with said first perimeter side adjacent said upright wall portion and a second position with said second perimeter side adjacent said upright wall portion, wherein adjustment of said length of said pedestal simultaneously raises or lowers said work surface and said upper section of said upright wall.
19 . The table unit of claim 18 wherein said rotation of said frame and said movement of said slide and said adjustment of said pedestal length are independent of one another.
20 . The table unit of claim 19 including a connecting frame member connected between said pedestal and said upper section of said upright wall portion wherein said connecting frame member defines a cable management channel.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
