Shoe fastener strap

Abstract

A shoe fastener strap is provided that is able to releasably secure the shoes of a baby or toddler to pant legs of the baby or toddler so that the shoes do not fall off of the baby or toddler's feet and become lost or otherwise misplaced. The shoe fastener strap includes a first fastener that is used to releasably secure the shoe fastener strap to a pant leg, and it includes a second fastener which may be semi permanently secured to the back of a baby or toddler's shoe. The first fastener preferably is a clip-type fastener which also has a tab backing member that serves to help close the first fastener around a pant leg as well as to serve as a decorative emblem.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A shoe fastener strap for selectively attaching a shoe to a pant leg, the shoe fastener strap comprising:
 a first end comprising a first fastener, said first fastener being selectively attachable to a pant leg;   a second end comprising a second fastener, said second fastener being selectively attachable to a shoe; and   a strap between said first end and said second end, said strap attached to said first fastener at said first end and attached to said second fastener at said second end.   
     
     
         2 . The shoe fastener strap of  claim 1 , wherein the first fastener includes a first jaw and a second jaw for selectively attaching the first fastener to a pant leg. 
     
     
         3 . The shoe fastener strap of  claim 2 , wherein the first fastener includes a closing tab that closes the second jaw toward the first jaw. 
     
     
         4 . The shoe fastener strap of  claim 3 , wherein the closing tab also has a tab backing member attached to the closing tab. 
     
     
         5 . The shoe fastener strap of  claim 4 , wherein the tab backing member has a surface area greater than the closing tab. 
     
     
         6 . The shoe fastener strap of  claim 1 , wherein the strap is elastic. 
     
     
         7 . A system for selectively attaching a shoe to a pant leg, the system comprising:
 a shoe;   a pant leg; and   a shoe fastener strap comprising:
 a first end comprising a first fastener, said first fastener being selectively attachable to a pant leg; 
 a second end comprising a second fastener, said second fastener being selectively attachable to a shoe; and 
 a strap between said first end and said second end, said strap attached to said first fastener at said first end and attached to said second fastener at said second end. 
   
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the first fastener includes a first jaw and a second jaw for selectively attaching the first fastener to a pant leg. 
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 8 , wherein the first fastener includes a closing tab that closes the second jaw toward the first jaw. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 9 , wherein the closing tab also has a tab backing member attached to the closing tab. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 10 , wherein the tab backing member has a surface area greater than the closing tab. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 7 , wherein the strap is elastic.
