Abstract

A universal bracket allowing secure attachment of accessories to paddleboards or similar watercraft. Said bracket consists of two identical assemblies of three components. The first is a rectangular plastic tube that rests on the top surface of the paddleboard. Said tube is open at each end and acts as a receiving tube for two smaller rectangular plastic tubes. The smaller tubes each having a molded hook on one end that attaches to the outer edges of the paddleboard. The width of the assembly is adjustable to accommodate varying paddleboard sizes. The adjustable nature is such that the outer tubes slide freely into the center tube and are locked in place by a removable pin. The pin locking system allows for customization and a variety of settings. The center receiving tube contains a mechanism for securing accessories that expand the capabilities of a paddleboard.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A mounting apparatus comprising:
A personal flotation vehicle A tubular center body A first hook that is coupled with one end of said hollow resilient center body A second hook that is coupled with the other end of said tubular resilient center body Wherein said coupled tubular center body, first hook and second hook are assembled and affixed across the width of said personal flotation vehicle

2 . An apparatus as in claim 1 consisting of two mounting assemblies that may be affixed to said personal flotation vehicle.

3 . The apparatus of claims 1 and 2 where the preferred personal flotation vehicle is a stand up paddle board.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 where the said first and second hook are composed of a tubular shape and size such that allows coupling with the tubular center body

5 . The invention of claims 1 and 4 where the coupled tubular bodies are adjustable by a pin mechanism inserted through aligned holes of the tubular center body and said coupled first and second hook

6 . An apparatus as referenced in claim 5 also comprising a proprietary attachment mechanism of molded interlocking grooves for attachment of various accessories.

7 . An attachment mechanism as in claim 6 that is molded from plastic comprising a tongue and groove mechanism with an interlocking feature for attachment of accessories.

8 . A device as in claim 1 that also comprises threaded inserts at various locations for attachment of additional accessories
