Abstract

A long-side frame piece has a cylindrical portion. The cylindrical portion is formed from one side end along the direction in which the long-side frame piece extends to the other side end. The cylindrical portion has threaded holes. The threaded holes are provided inside a through hole. Screws are inserted in the threaded holes. A short-side frame piece has a plate-shaped portion. The plate-shaped portion covers the end of the cylindrical portion in the direction in which the long-side frame piece extends Openings are formed in the plate-shaped portion, through which pass the screws inserted in the threaded holes. The plate-shaped portion has a cutout exposing a portion of the module body from a first surface toward a second surface, formed closer to a first direction side than the threaded holes of the through hole.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
5 . A solar cell module comprising:
 a rectangular module body comprising a first surface and a second surface on an opposite side from the first surface, and including a solar cell; a frame surrounding the module body, the frame comprising: a long-side frame piece provided outside a long side part of the module body, wherein the long-side frame piece comprises: a tubular portion, comprising:
 an inner sidewall;
 a ceiling wall;
 a bottom wall;
 a through hole formed from one end portion to an opposite end portion thereof in an extending direction of the long-side frame piece; and
 screw holes provided inside the through hole, in contact with the inner sidewall, comprising a first screw hole and a second screw hole; and
 a groove positioned above the tubular portion into which the long side part of the rectangular module body is fitted;
 a short-side frame piece provided outside a short side part of the module body, wherein the short-side frame piece comprises:
 a plate-shaped portion covering an end portion of the tubular portion in the extending direction of the long-side frame piece; and
 openings formed in the plate-shaped portion; and
   two screws inserted in the openings through first and second screw holes, that fix the long-side frame piece and the short-side frame piece to each other wherein
 a flange part of the groove is fixed at the top edge portion of the short-side frame piece,
 the first screw hole is in contact with the ceiling wall, and is formed at the corner of the ceiling wall and the inner sidewall inside of the tubular portion,
   the second screw hole is positioned lower than the first screw hole from the ceiling wall and higher than the bottom wall at the inner sidewall, and is not in contact with the first screw hole and the bottom wall, and the openings are positioned apart from the edge of the short-side frame piece.

         6 . The solar cell module according to claim 5 , wherein the short-side frame piece further comprises a rib provided on a surface of the plate-shaped portion that faces the module body, and the rib extends in a direction of the long axis of the short-side frame piece.

         7 . The solar cell module according to claim 5 , wherein the short-side frame piece further comprises a recess-shaped cutout in an end portion of the short-side frame piece on a second direction side opposite to the first direction side, and a base of the cutout that is either flush with the first surface of the module body, or positioned away from the first surface of the module body toward the first direction side.
