Abstract

A computer-implemented method and system for managing keyword bidding prices are disclosed. An example method comprises transmitting a corresponding bid value for each one of a plurality of keywords in a keyword portfolio to an online service via a data network communication, determining a corresponding level of online activity for each part of a plurality of parts of a day, updating, by at least one processor, the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for one of the plurality of parts of the day, and transmitting the updated bid values to the online service via the data network communication during the one of the plurality of parts of the day.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . (canceled)

         2 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
transmitting a corresponding bid value for each one of a plurality of keywords in a keyword portfolio to an online service via a data network communication; determining a corresponding level of online activity for each part of a plurality of parts of a day; updating, by at least one processor, the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for one of the plurality of parts of the day; and transmitting the updated bid values to the online service via the data network communication during the one of the plurality of parts of the day.

3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio comprises increasing the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day satisfying a predetermined criteria.

4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 3 , wherein the predetermined criteria comprises the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day being the highest among the corresponding levels of online activity for all of the plurality of parts of the day.

5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio comprises decreasing the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day satisfying a predetermined criteria.

6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 5 , wherein the predetermined criteria comprises the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day being the lowest among the corresponding levels of online activity for all of the plurality of parts of the day.

7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the online service comprises a search engine.

8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the corresponding bid value comprises a cost-per-click (CPC) value.

         9 . A system comprising:
at least one processor; and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
transmitting a corresponding bid value for each one of a plurality of keywords in a keyword portfolio to an online service via a data network communication,
determining a corresponding level of online activity for each part of a plurality of parts of a day,
updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for one of the plurality of parts of the day, and
transmitting the updated bid values to the online service via the data network communication during the one of the plurality of parts of the day.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio comprises increasing the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day satisfying a predetermined criteria.

11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the predetermined criteria comprises the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day being the highest among the corresponding levels of online activity for all of the plurality of parts of the day.

12 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio comprises decreasing the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day satisfying a predetermined criteria.

13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the predetermined criteria comprises the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day being the lowest among the corresponding levels of online activity for all of the plurality of parts of the day.

14 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the online service comprises a search engine.

15 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the corresponding bid value comprises a cost-per-click (CPC) value.

16 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that, when executed, cause at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
transmitting a corresponding bid value for each one of a plurality of keywords in a keyword portfolio to an online service via a data network communication; determining a corresponding level of online activity for each part of a plurality of parts of a day; updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for one of the plurality of parts of the day; and transmitting the updated bid values to the online service via the data network communication during the one of the plurality of parts of the day.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio comprises increasing the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day satisfying a predetermined criteria.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the predetermined criteria comprises the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day being the highest among the corresponding levels of online activity for all of the plurality of parts of the day.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the updating the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio comprises decreasing the corresponding bid value for each of the plurality of keywords in the keyword portfolio based on the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day satisfying a predetermined criteria.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19 , wherein the predetermined criteria comprises the corresponding level of online activity for the one of the plurality of parts of the day being the lowest among the corresponding levels of online activity for all of the plurality of parts of the day.
