Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A pitching mound, comprising:
a plurality of shell pieces having top members supported by braces; at least one of the shell pieces having a plurality of slots positioned on an outer periphery of the top member; and at least one shell having a plurality of clips positioned on an outer periphery of the top member such that the clips align with and are received within the slots.
2 . The mound of claim 1 wherein the clips have a horizontal section and a tapered vertical section.
3 . The mound of claim 2 wherein the horizontal section of the clip is received within a groove in the top member.
4 . A pitching mound, comprising:
a plurality of shell pieces releasably connected together; one of the shell pieces being a center shell having a top member supported by a rear vertical support and a plurality of longitudinal braces; and the top member having a flat section that extends from a rear end toward a front end and terminates at a tapered section that extends downwardly from the flat-section to the front end.
5 . The mound of claim 4 wherein the shell pieces are releasably connected by a plurality of aligned clips and slots.
6 . The mound of claim 4 wherein the top member tapers outwardly as the sides extend from the flat section to the front end.
7 . The mound of claim 4 wherein a recess is positioned inwardly from an outer perimeter of the top member, extends from the flat section to the tapered section, and is formed to receive a replaceable mat.
8 . The mound of claim 4 wherein a recess is positioned within the flat section of the top member and is formed to receive a pitching rubber.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
