Abstract

A garment for providing warmth and insulation to dialysis patients while maintaining unobstructed visual access to a patient's needle access site is described. The garment includes a transparent window and is made from a fabric material tailored to provide front and back covering. The garment includes a head opening with peripherally connected means for adjustment; and at least one transparent window providing viewing access to a particular location.

1 . A garment with transparent window, comprising:
 a fabric material cut to provide front and back covering;   a head opening with peripherally connected means for adjustment; and   at least one transparent window providing viewing access to a particular location.   
     
     
         2 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the fabric material is made from polar fleece. 
     
     
         3 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the means for adjustment is selected from among, Velcro, snaps, zippers, buttons, fastening means, and combinations thereof. 
     
     
         4 . The garment of  claim 1 , wherein the transparent window is polyvinyl chloride. 
     
     
         5 . The garment of  claim 1 , further comprising a hood. 
     
     
         6 . The garment of  claim 1 , further comprising a foot-pouch. 
     
     
         7 . The garment of  claim 1 , further comprising one or more pockets. 
     
     
         8 . A patient gown, comprising
 a compliant sheet of material for providing at least a covering to a body portion of a patient to be treated; and   at least a transparent window for providing a visual access to the body portion.   
     
     
         9 . The gown as recited in  claim 8 , wherein the transparent window is detachably attached to the compliant sheet of material. 
     
     
         10 . The gown as recited in  claim 9 , wherein the transparent window is made from polyvinyl chloride. 
     
     
         11 . The gown as recited in  claim 8 , wherein the compliant sheet of material includes front and back portions capable of covering front and back of the patient. 
     
     
         12 . The gown as recited in  claim 10 , wherein the compliant sheet of material further includes a neck portion adjoining the front and backing portions. 
     
     
         13 . The gown as recited in  claim 11 , wherein the compliant sheet of material includes a hood attached to the neck portion. 
     
     
         14 . The gown as recited in  claim 12 , wherein the compliant sheet of material further includes a foot-pouch. 
     
     
         15 . The gown as recited in  claim 8 , wherein the compliant sheet includes at least one pocket. 
     
     
         16 . The gown as recited in  claim 13 , wherein the neck portion includes an adjusting arrangement. 
     
     
         17 . The gown as recited in  claim 8 , wherein the compliant sheet of material is made from polar fleece. 
     
     
         18 . The gown as recited in  claim 8 , wherein the transparent window is fixedly attached to the compliant sheet of material. 
     
     
         19 . A patient gown, comprising
 a body made from a compliant material tailored to provide front and back covering;   a head opening with adjusting arrangement facilitating peripheral changes of the opening; and   at least one transparent window located at the body for providing viewing access to a particular location of a patient,   
     
     
         20 . The patient gown as recited in  claim 1 , wherein the transparent window is detachable attached to the body, and is made from polar fleece or polyvinyl chloride.
