Abstract
A heat exchanger ( 1 ), an energy recycling system, a fluid distribution manifold and a baffle. The heat exchanger comprising: a first fluid tube ( 25 ) through which a first fluid of a first temperature flows; a second fluid tubes ( 26 ) through which a second fluid of a second temperature flows; a baffle ( 22 ) located in at least one of said tubes for moderating flow of at least one fluid passing therethrough; wherein the heat exchanger ( 1 ) is configured for communicating thermal energy between the first fluid and the second fluid.

35 . A heat exchanger comprising:
a first fluid tube through which a first fluid of a first temperature flows; a baffle located in the first fluid tube for moderating flow of the first fluid passing therethrough; wherein the heat exchanger is configured for communicating thermal energy between the first fluid and an environment external of the first fluid tube having a different temperature to the first fluid.
36 . A heat exchanger according to claim 35 , wherein the baffle is configured to include at least one formation selected from a group comprising
at least one elongate member extending in a direction of radially to or along said at least one first fluid tube; at least one protrusion extending radially from a wall of said at least one first fluid tube, wherein the protrusion is integrally formed or detachably mounted thereon; at least one protrusion extending in a direction of along a wall of said at least one first fluid tube, the protrusion being integrally formed or detachably mounted thereon; at least one spiral guiding structure extending along said at least one first fluid tube; and at least one sleeve extending along said at least one first fluid tube.

A heat exchanger according to claim 35 , wherein the baffle comprises at least one elongate member extending around or about said at least one first fluid tube or along the direction of the longitudinal axis of said at least one first fluid tube, and said elongate member(s) is selected from the group of configurations comprising:
an at least one elongate member including annular or spiral protrusions thereon; an least one elongate member arranged in one or more spiral elements which extend around the inner circumference of said at least one first fluid tube or along the longitudinal axis of said at least one first fluid tube; at least one elongate member arranged in one or more spiral elements which extend around the inner circumference of said at least one first fluid tube or along the longitudinal axis of said at least one first fluid tube, and extends about a core in an interengaged spiral arrangement, in a longitudinal direction along said at least one first fluid tube; at least one elongate member extending in a spiral arrangement; at least one elongate member including circumferential helical grooves formed therein, and both the elongate member and the grooves extending in a direction of along said at least one first fluid tube; at least one elongate member wrapping about the longitudinal axis and along said at least one first fluid tube, wherein the first fluid tube has generally elliptical cross profile formed by compression of a fluid tube having a generally circular cross section profile; and at least one elongate member forming two layers in said at least one first fluid tube, wherein each of the layers comprising a plurality of elongate members each extending in a common direction, the common direction of the elongate members of the two layers are different from each other, at least one end of the elongate member is covered or forms a slope to reduce accumulation of fouling thereon.
38 . A heat exchanger according to claim 37 , wherein the baffle further includes at least one sleeve extending along said at least one first fluid tube.
39 . A heat exchanger according to claim 35 , wherein the baffle includes at least one disc disposed within said at least one first fluid tube, the disc including protrusions thereon to define a plurality of flow paths.
40 . A heat exchanger according to claim 37 , wherein the baffle includes at least one disc disposed within said at least one first fluid tube, the disc including protrusions thereon to define a plurality of flow paths.
41 . A heat exchanger according to claim 35 , wherein at least one inlet of one of the fluid tube of the heat exchanger is configured for receiving a cleaning tube through an opening formed therein, the cleaning tube directing a fluid stream for displacing deposits formed within the heat exchanger.
42 . A heat exchanger according to claim 35 , further comprising:
at least one second fluid tube through which a second fluid of a second temperature flows and including a baffle therein for moderating flow of the second fluid passing therethrough;
wherein the heat exchanger is configured for communicating thermal energy between the first fluid and environment external thereof.
43 . A heat exchanger according to claim 42 , wherein the baffle is configured to include at least one formation selected from a group comprising:
at least one elongate member extending in a direction of radially or at least along at least one of the fluid tubes; at least one protrusion extending radially from a wall of at least one fluid tubes, wherein the protrusion is integrally formed or detachably mounted thereon; at least one protrusion extending in a direction of along a wall of at least one of the fluid tubes, the protrusion being integrally formed or detachably mounted thereon; at least one spiral guiding structure extending along at least one of the fluid; and at least one sleeve extending along at least one of the fluid tubes.

A heat exchanger according to claim 42 , wherein the at least one baffle comprises at least one elongate member extending around or about the axis of at least one of the fluid tubes or along the direction of the axis of the fluid tubes, and said elongate member(s) is selected from a group comprising:
at least one elongate member including annular or spiral protrusions thereon; at least one elongate member formed in one or more spiral elements extending around the inner circumference of at least one of the fluid tubes or along the longitudinal axis of at least one of the fluid tubes; at least one elongate member formed in one or more spiral elements extending around the inner circumference of at least one of the fluid tubes or along the longitudinal axis of at least one of the fluid tubes, and extending about a core in an interengaged spiral arrangement, in a longitudinal direction along at least one of the fluid tubes; at least one elongate member extending in a spiral arrangement; at least one elongate member having circumferential helical grooves formed therein, and both the elongate member and the grooves extending in a direction of along at least one of the fluid tubes; at least one elongate member wrapped about the longitudinal axis and along at least one of the fluid tubes, wherein the first fluid tube has generally elliptical cross profile formed by compression of a fluid tube having a generally circular cross section profile; and at least one elongate member forming two layers in at least one of the fluid tubes, wherein each of the layers comprising a plurality of elongate members each extending in a common direction, the common direction of the elongate members of the two layers are different from each other, at least one end of the elongate member is covered or form a slope to reduce accumulation of fouling thereon.
45 . A heat exchanger according to claim 44 , wherein the baffle further includes at least one sleeve extending along at least one of the fluid tubes.
46 . A heat exchanger according to claim 42 , wherein at least one baffle includes at least one disc disposed within one of the said fluid tube, the disc including protrusions thereon to define a plurality of flow paths.
47 . A heat exchanger according to claim 42 , wherein at least one inlet of one of the fluid tube of the heat exchanger is configured for receiving a cleaning tube through an opening formed therein, the cleaning tube directing a stream of fluid for displacing deposits formed within the heat exchanger.
48 . A heat exchanger according to claim 47 , further comprising a fluid collector, wherein the fluid collector includes an opening for collecting fluid, and at least one inlet of one of the first and/or second fluid tubes is configured for receiving the cleaning tube through the opening of the fluid collector.
49 . A heat exchanger according to claim 35 , wherein the baffle includes at least one protrusion extending radially from a wall of at least one of the fluid tubes in an annular or spiral arrangement,
wherein the protrusions extend in an annular or spiral arrangement along, about or within at least one of the fluid tubes; and wherein the protrusions extending in a spiral arrangement to include a plurality of spaces therebetween, the spaces being substantially aligned to create a turbulent flow with the spiral flow.
50 . The heat exchanger according to claim 35 further comprising a liquid distribution manifold having at least one protrusion which is located proximate the inlet of said first fluid tube,
wherein the liquid distribution manifold includes a vent in communication with said at least one of the protrusions for communicating a gas flow spaced apart from the liquid flow by the vent, and
wherein the manifold distributes liquid into the first fluid tube via at least one or more passageways defined therein.
51 . The heat exchanger according to claim 41 further comprising a liquid distribution manifold having at least one protrusion which is located proximate the inlet of said first fluid tube,
wherein the liquid distribution manifold includes a vent in communication with said at least one of the protrusions for communicating a gas flow spaced apart from the liquid flow by the vent, and
