Abstract

A method for point of sale payments includes receiving, from a seller device over a network, payment information. The payment information is associated with payment code information in a database. The payment code information is then sent to the seller device over the network for posting at a service location. The payment code information is then captured by a payer device at the service location and transmitted over the network. The payment information is then retrieved from the database using the associated payment code information. The payment information is then sent to the payer device over the network. A payment confirmation is received from the payer device over the network and, in response, a payment from a payer account to a seller account is initiated and the payment information and an indication of the payment confirmation is sent to the seller device over the network.

Claims

What is claimed is:

         1 . A location transaction system, comprising:
 a database including service area information about a service area that includes a plurality of locations; a non-transitory memory; and one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
 providing, for display on a user device using the service area information, a location transaction graphical user interface (GUI) that includes a service area graphic that graphically displays a layout of the service area including relative positions of each of the plurality of locations included in the service area;
 providing, for display on the user device via the location transaction GUI, a transaction location graphic on the service area graphic;
 receiving at least one input through the location transaction GUI that provides a first transaction location graphic adjustment that moves the transaction location graphic relative to the service area graphic and into a first position on the service area graphic that corresponds to a first location of the plurality of locations in the service area in order to create an instruction to conduct a transaction associated with the first location; and
 in response to the instruction to conduct the transaction associated with the first location, causing a transaction to be performed between a first account associated with a service area device and a second account.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the location transaction GUI includes a payment modifier element, and wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving a payment modifier input via the payment modifier element in the location transaction GUI, wherein the payment modifier is provided for performing the transaction.

         3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the location transaction GUI includes a payment total element, and wherein the operations further comprise:
 calculating a transaction amount for the transaction using the payment modifier input; and in response to the calculating, displaying the transaction amount using the payment total element.

         4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 providing, for display on the user device via the location transaction GUI, at least one occupied location graphic on the service area graphic that indicates at least one of the plurality of locations in the service area that is not available for purchase.

         5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the location transaction GUI includes a payment confirmation element, and wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving a payment confirmation via the payment confirmation element in the location transaction GUI subsequent to receiving the first transaction location graphic adjustment, wherein the receiving the payment confirmation causes the transaction to be performed.

         6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving at least one input through the location transaction GUI that provides a second transaction location graphic adjustment that moves the transaction location graphic relative to the service area graphic and into a second position on the service area graphic that corresponds to a second location of the plurality of locations in the service area.

         7 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising:
 providing, for display on a user device, a location transaction graphical user interface (GUI) that includes a service area graphic that graphically displays a layout of a service area that includes relative positions of each of a plurality of locations that are included in the service area; providing, for display on the user device via the location transaction GUI, a transaction location graphic on the service area graphic; receiving at least one input through the location transaction GUI that provides a first transaction location graphic adjustment that moves the transaction location graphic relative to the service area graphic and into a first position on the service area graphic that corresponds to a first location of the plurality of locations in the service area in order to create an instruction to conduct a transaction associated with the first location; and in response to the instruction to conduct the transaction associated with the first location, causing a transaction to be performed between a first account associated with a service area device and a second account.

         8 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 7 , wherein the location transaction GUI includes a payment modifier element, and wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving a payment modifier input via the payment modifier element in the location transaction GUI, wherein the payment modifier is provided for performing the transaction.

         9 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the location transaction GUI includes a payment total element, and wherein the operations further comprise:
 calculating a transaction amount for the transaction using the payment modifier input; and in response to the calculating, displaying the transaction amount using the payment total element.

         10 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the payment modifier element is a time element, and wherein the payment modifier input is an amount of time the first location will be paid for.

         11 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 7 , wherein the location transaction GUI includes a payment confirmation element, and wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving a payment confirmation via the payment confirmation element in the location transaction GUI subsequent to receiving the first transaction location graphic adjustment, wherein the receiving the payment confirmation causes the transaction to be performed.

         12 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 receiving at least one input through the location transaction GUI that provides a second transaction location graphic adjustment that moves the transaction location graphic relative to the service area graphic and into a second position on the service area graphic that corresponds to a second location of the plurality of locations in the service area.

         13 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 providing, for display on the user device via the location transaction GUI, at least one occupied location graphic on the service area graphic that indicates at least one of the plurality of locations in the service area that is not available for purchase.
