Method of renting a carpet extractor

Abstract

A method for renting extraction cleaning machines or carpet extractors utilizes a vending machine that dispenses cleaning formulations packaged in single use packages. The single use packages can be positioned adjacent to the location of the carpet extractor or where the carpet extractor is offered for rental. The vending machine is configured to dispense the single use packages upon demand. In addition, the single use packages can include different cleaning compositions.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method of renting a carpet extractor, comprising:
 providing at least one carpet extractor at a retail facility;   offering the at least one carpet extractor for lease for a predetermined period of time;   providing, at the retail facility, carpet cleaning formulations in single use packages; and   offering for sale the single use packages along with the rental of the at least one carpet extractor.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the single use packages are positioned adjacent to the location of the at least one carpet extractor or where the at least one carpet extractor is offered for lease. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 2  wherein the single use packages are provided in a vending machine that is configured to dispense the single use packages upon demand. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 3  wherein the single use packages include sets of different cleaning compositions. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 3  and further comprising vending at least one of the single use packages from a vending machine after the insertion of a payment to the vending machine. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the single use packages are provided in a vending machine that is configured to dispense the single use packages upon demand. 
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein the single use packages include sets of different cleaning compositions. 
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 1  and further comprising vending at least one of the single use packages from a vending machine after the insertion of a payment to the vending machine.
