Abstract

In various examples, an apparatus may be configured to irradiate a plurality of light beams from multiple light sources to a corresponding number of beam splitters, which are configured to generate a first portion of the light beams that can be irradiated on the object, and a second portion of the light beams that can be reflected by a mirror unit to generate reference beams. Some apparatus can also include an array of image sensors that may be configured to receive images of interference caused by the reference beams and object beams scattered by the object.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A holographic image generation apparatus, comprising:
a plurality of light sources, each configured to irradiate a light beam; a plurality of beam splitters, each configured to split the light beam irradiated from a corresponding one of the plurality of light sources into a first portion and a second portion of the light beam, wherein the first portion of the light beam is irradiated on an object; a mirror unit configured to receive the second portion of the light beams from the plurality of beam splitters, and reflect at least part of the second portions of the light beams to generate reference beams; and an array of image sensors arranged to substantially surround the object, the image sensors being configured to receive images of interference caused by the reference beams and the first portions of the light beams scattered by the object and convert the received images into image signals.

2 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a first unit configured to record the image signals in a storage unit.

3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a first unit configured to transmit the image signals to a holographic image reconstruction apparatus.

4 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the array of image sensors include an array of CCDs (charge coupled devices).

5 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the array of image sensors are arranged in a shape of a cylinder or a polygonal prism.

6 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each of the beam splitters includes an aluminum layer formed on a glass substrate.

7 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein each of the light sources is configured to irradiate a visible laser beam.

8 . A method to generate holographic images, comprising:
irradiating a light beam; splitting the light beam irradiated from a corresponding one of a plurality of light sources into a first portion and a second portion of the light beam such that the first portion of the light beam is irradiated on an object and the second portion of the light beam is irradiated on a mirror unit; reflecting the second portions of the light beams to generate reference beams; receiving images of interference caused by the reference beams and the first portions of the light beams scattered by the object; and converting the received images into image signals.

9 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising recording the image signals in a storage unit.

10 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising transmitting the image signals to a holographic image reconstruction apparatus.

11 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium which stores a program to generate holographic images, the program comprising one or more instructions that are executable by a processor to perform or cause to be performed:
irradiating a light beam; splitting the light beam irradiated from a corresponding one of the plurality of light sources into a first portion and a second portion of the light beam such that the first portion of the light beam is irradiated on an object and the second portion of the light beam is irradiated on a mirror unit; reflecting the second portions of the light beams to generate reference beams; receiving images of interference caused by the reference beams and the first portions of the light beams scattered by the object; and converting the received images into image signals.

12 . The medium of claim 11 , wherein the program further comprises one or more instructions that are executable by the processor to perform or caused to be performed:
recording the image signals in a storage unit.

13 . The medium of claim 11 , wherein the program further comprises one or more instructions that are executable by the processor to perform or caused to be performed:
transmitting the image signals to a holographic image reconstruction apparatus.
