Adjustable water collection pan for appliances

Abstract

An adjustable liquid containment device for use with refrigerators to prevent overflow and damage to flooring. The containment device allows for appliance elevation within and integral support and water collection pan. The detachable loading ramps provide for smoothly rolling the appliance up onto the integrated independent elevated level support surfaces within the water retainment pan.

Therefore, I claim: 
     
         1 . An adjustable liquid retainment and support pan for use with an appliance comprising,
 a first pan portion and a second pan portion,   first and second pan portions having respective inner recess surface and integral upstanding edge walls,   respective upstanding appliance support platforms extend from said pan portion's inner recess surfaces adjacent to and parallel with one of said upstanding walls,   said support platforms having a level solid continuous surface in planar relation with the top edge of said integral upstanding walls and wherein said pan portions recessed surface are pitched for collection of liquid into drain in said first pan portion interior recess surface,   said first and second pan portion slidably engaged over a portion of one another,   a sealing gasket between said portions,   access ramp portions removably secured to said respective first and second pan portions.   
     
     
         2 . The adjustable liquid retainment and support pan set forth in  claim 1  wherein one of each pan portions upstanding walls has an elongated notch therein aligned for registration with said ramps. 
     
     
         3 . The adjustable liquid retainment and support pan set forth in  claim 1  wherein said outlet drain within the inner surface of said first pan portion further comprises,
 a drain within said recess surface with said recess interior surface in communication with and extending to the exterior of said support pan.
