Abstract

A system for moving and disposing of garbage includes a frame assembly, and a holder assembly coupled to the frame assembly. The frame assembly may include a pair of rails. The frame assembly can rest on a surface (for example, on wheels for the frame assembly.) The frame assembly can be declined (for example, tilted back wheels). The holder assembly includes a carriage and a holder coupled to the carriage. The holder can hold a garbage container. When the frame assembly is declined, the rails of the frame assembly may form a ramp for the holder assembly. The carriage of the holder assembly can slide up and down on the rails of the frame assembly. The holder is movable relative to the carriage (for example, by tipping the holder) to empty contents out of the garbage container when the carriage is in a raised position on the ramp.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A dolly system for moving and disposing of garbage, comprising:
a frame assembly comprising a frame, wherein the frame comprises a pair of rails, wherein the frame assembly is configurable to rest on a surface, wherein the frame assembly is configurable to be manually declined; a holder assembly movably coupled to the frame, wherein holder assembly comprises:
a carriage configurable to be moved from a lower position to a higher position on the rails while the frame is declined; and
a holder coupled the carriage, wherein the holder is configurable to hold a garbage container, wherein the holder is movable relative to the carriage to empty at least a portion of contents out of the garbage container when the carriage is at the higher position.

2 . The dolly system of claim 1 , wherein the frame assembly comprises dumpster-engaging portion configured to engage on a lip of a dumpster to inhibit movement of the dolly system during use of the dolly system to empty contents of the garbage container into the dumpster.

3 . The dolly system of claim 2 , wherein the dumpster-engaging portion comprises a hook member configured to bear against an interior wall of the dumpster to inhibit the frame assembly from moving away from the dumpster during use of the dolly system to empty contents of the garbage container into the dumpster.

4 . The dolly system of claim 2 , wherein the dumpster-engaging portion comprises a stop member configured to bear against an exterior wall of the dumpster to inhibit the frame assembly from sliding up on the dumpster during use of the dolly system to empty the contents of garbage container into the dumpster.

5 . The dolly system of claim 1 , wherein the holder assembly is configurable to translate, relative to the frame, from lower position to a higher position while the frame is declined.

6 . The dolly system of claim 1 , wherein the rails are configured to form a ramp for the holder assembly when the frame assembly is declined.

7 . The dolly system of claim 1 , wherein the holder is coupled to the carriage on one or more hinges, wherein the one or more hinges allows the container to be tipped on the one or more hinges to dump at least a portion of the contents out of the container.

8 . The dolly system of claim 1 , wherein the frame assembly comprises one or more rollers, wherein the rollers are configured for rolling the frame assembly from one location to another.

9 . The dolly system of claim 1 , further comprising a latch mechanism configured to hold the carriage in a raised position on the frame.

10 . The dolly system of claim 9 , wherein the latch mechanism is configured to automatically latch the carriage when the carriage is moved to a predetermined raised position relative to the frame assembly.

11 . The dolly system of claim 1 , wherein the holder assembly comprises a clip configured to couple with a container, wherein the clip is configurable to inhibit separation of the garbage container from the holder.

12 . The dolly system of claim 11 , wherein the clip is configured to be at least partially inserted into an opening in the garbage container.

13 . The dolly system of claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the contents dumped from the garbage container is trash.

14 . A method of moving and disposing of garbage, comprising:
placing a garbage container on a holder; declining the holder; translating the holder from a lower position to a higher position while the holder is declined; and moving the holder such that at least a portion of contents of the garbage container are dumped out of the container.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein moving the holder comprises tipping the holder on a hinge.

16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein moving the holder such that at least a portion of contents of the container are dumped out of the garbage container comprises tipping the holder on a hinge.

17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein translating the holder from a lower position to a higher position comprises manually raising a carriage for the holder from one position to a higher position.

18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising latching the carriage in the higher position.

19 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising rolling the garbage container from one location to another location after placing the container on the holder and before the at least a portion of the contents are dumped out of the container.

20 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising clipping the garbage container to the holder before translating the holder from the lower position to the higher position.

         21 - 28 . (canceled)
