Hanger Assembly for Displaying Products

Abstract

An product display assembly allows for the presentation of a sample product for sale. A support bracket and a product carrier extends from the support bracket and is adapted to hold a plurality of product containers which can be placed onto and removed from the product carrier via a distal end of the product carrier. A support arm extends from the support bracket and supports a sample product holder that is movable between a first position wherein the sample product holder is located in front of the distal end of the product carrier and a second position wherein the sample product holder is moved away from the distal end of the product carrier. A spring is provided for biasing the sample product holder into the first position.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A product display assembly, comprising:
 a support bracket;   a product carrier extending from the support bracket and adapted to hold a plurality of product containers which can be placed onto and removed from the product carrier via a distal end of the product carrier;   a support arm extending from the support bracket and supporting a sample product holder that is movable between a first position wherein the sample product holder is located in front of the distal end of the product carrier and a second position wherein the sample product holder is moved away from the distal end of the product carrier; and   spring means for biasing the sample product holder into the first position.   
     
     
         2 . The product display assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the sample product holder is formed in a “C” shape. 
     
     
         3 . The product display assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the sample product holder is rotatable between the first and second positions. 
     
     
         4 . The product display assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the sample product holder comprises a back shell and a front shell, that when fixed together, engage the support arm in a rotatable manner. 
     
     
         5 . The product display assembly of  claim 4 , wherein the sample product holder contains a sample product. 
     
     
         6 . The product display assembly of  claim 5 , wherein the sample product is held in the sample product holder by at least one product fastener having a tongue which extends into the sample product. 
     
     
         7 . The product display assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the product carrier extends along an axis and the sample product holder is planar in shape and lies parallel to the axis of the product carrier when the sample product holder is in the second position. 
     
     
         8 . The product display assembly of  claim 1 , wherein the spring means is a torsion spring. 
     
     
         9 . A product display assembly, comprising:
 a back wall;   a product carrier extending from the back wall and adapted to hold a plurality of product containers which can be placed onto and removed from the product carrier via a distal end of the product carrier;   a support arm extending from the back wall and supporting a sample product holder that is movable between a first position wherein the sample product holder is located in front of the distal end of the product carrier and a second position wherein the sample product holder is moved away from the distal end of the product carrier; and   spring means for biasing the sample product holder into the first position.   
     
     
         10 . The product display assembly of  claim 9 , wherein the sample product holder is formed in a “C” shape. 
     
     
         11 . The product display assembly of  claim 9 , wherein the sample product holder is rotatable between the first and second positions. 
     
     
         12 . The product display assembly of  claim 9 , wherein the sample product holder comprises a back shell and a front shell, that when fixed together, engage the support arm in a rotatable manner. 
     
     
         13 . The product display assembly of  claim 12 , wherein the sample product holder contains a sample product. 
     
     
         14 . The product display assembly of  claim 13 , wherein the sample product is held in the sample product holder by at least one product fastener having a tongue which extends into the sample product. 
     
     
         15 . The product display assembly of  claim 9 , wherein the product carrier extends along an axis and the sample product holder is planar in shape and lies parallel to the axis of the product carrier when the sample product holder is in the second position. 
     
     
         16 . The product display assembly of  claim 9 , wherein the spring means is a torsion spring.
