Abstract

The present invention provides a method and device for processing a QoS parameter in a subscription service combination scenario. The method includes determining a subscribed APN corresponding to an alias APN, where the alias APN is obtained by a mobility management network element according to an APN in an access request of a UE and according to acquired correspondence between a subscribed APN and an alias APN of the UE, and determining a QoS parameter of the alias APN according to a QoS parameter of the subscribed APN. Embodiments of the present invention can provide a solution for processing a QoS parameter in subscription service combination.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A system, comprising:
 a core network entity; and   a packet data network gateway (PGW),   wherein the core network entity is configured to:
 receive an alias access point name (APN); 
 determine a quality of service (QoS) parameter of the alias APN according to QoS parameters of subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN; and 
 send the QoS parameter of the alias APN to the PGW; 
   the PGW is configured to:
 perform traffic control on the alias APN according to the QoS parameter of the alias APN. 
   
     
     
         2 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is an accumulated value of QoS parameters of all the subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         3 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is an accumulated value of QoS parameters of all activated subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         4 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is a maximum value of QoS parameters of all the subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         5 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is a maximum value of QoS parameters of all activated subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         6 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the core network entity is a mobility management entity (MME).   
     
     
         7 . The system according to  claim 6 , wherein
 the core network entity is configured to receive an access request including the alias APN from a user equipment (UE).   
     
     
         8 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the core network entity is a policy and charging rules function (PCRF).   
     
     
         9 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein
 the QoS parameter is an access point name aggregate maximum bit rate (APN-AMBR).   
     
     
         10 . A method for processing a QoS parameter, comprising:
 receiving, by a core network entity, an alias access point name (APN);   determining, by the core network entity, a QoS parameter of the alias APN according to QoS parameters of subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN;   sending, by the core network entity, the QoS parameter of the alias APN to a packet data network gateway (PGW); and   performing, by the PGW, traffic control on the alias APN according to the QoS parameter of the alias APN.   
     
     
         11 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is an accumulated value of QoS parameters of all the subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         12 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is an accumulated value of QoS parameters of all activated subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         13 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is a maximum value of QoS parameters of all the subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         14 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein
 a value of the QoS parameter of the alias APN is a maximum value of QoS parameters of all activated subscribed APNs corresponding to the alias APN.   
     
     
         15 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein
 the core network entity is a mobility management entity (MME).   
     
     
         16 . The method according to  claim 15 , wherein the receiving, by a core network entity, the alias APN comprises:
 receiving, by the core network entity, an access request including the alias APN from a user equipment (UE).   
     
     
         17 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein
 the core network entity is a policy and charging rules function (PCRF).   
     
     
         18 . The method according to  claim 10 , wherein
 the QoS parameter is an access point name aggregate maximum bit rate (APN-AMBR).
