Abstract
An image processing device of the present invention comprises a storage section for storing first image data obtained by imaging in front of the imaging device body or using a telephoto lens, and second image data obtained by imaging behind the imaging device body or using a wide-angle lens; a movement pattern detection section for processing the first image data to detect a movement pattern of the first image represented by the first image data; a movement pattern determination section determining whether or not the movement pattern of the first image is unstable movement; and an image processing section for rewriting a part of the first image data, for which it has been determined by the movement pattern determination section that the movement pattern of the first image is unstable, using the second image data.

1 . A device, comprising:
an imaging system for simultaneously shooting a first movie image from a first viewpoint and shooting a second movie image from a second viewpoint that is different from the first viewpoint, and for respectively converting the first movie image and the second movie image to first movie image data and second movie image data; a storage section for storing the first image data and the second image data; and a control section for controlling the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored in the storage section and the first movie image data stored in the storage section.

The device of claim 1 wherein the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored in the storage section and the first movie image data stored in the storage section includes playing back the first movie image data during a first time, and switching to playing back the second movie image data during a second time that does not overlap with the first time.
3 . The device of claim 2 wherein the switching to playing back the second movie image data during a second time is performed responsive to a manual user input.
4 . The device of claim 2 wherein the switching to playing back the second movie image data during a second time is performed responsive to a determination that the first movie is unstable.
5 . The device of claim 1 wherein the storage section includes a first part for storing the first movie image data, but not the second movie image data, and a second part for storing the second movie image data, but not the first movie image data.
6 . The device of claim 1 wherein the imaging system includes a first imaging section, having a first angle of view, for shooting the first movie image and a second imaging section, having a second angle of view which is different from the first angle of view, for shooting the second movie image.
7 . The device of claim 6 wherein at least one of the first imaging section and the second imaging section has a fixed focal length.
8 . The device of claim 7 wherein the at least one of the first imaging section and the second imaging section having a fixed focal length is configured to provide an electronic zooming operation.
9 . The device of claim 6 wherein a focal length of at least one of the first imaging section and the second imaging section can be varied via a zooming operation.
10 . The device of claim 6 wherein a focal length of one of the first imaging section and the second imaging section has an optical zoom.
11 . The device of claim 1 wherein the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored in the storage section and the first movie image data stored in the storage section includes simultaneously playing back both the first movie image data and the second movie image data.
12 . The device of claim 1 wherein the control section controls the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored in the storage section and the first movie image data stored in the storage section by switching between (A) playing back only the first movie image data and (B) playing back a combination of the first movie image data and the second movie image data, responsive to a manual user input.
13 . A method comprising:
simultaneously shooting, using an imaging system, a first movie image from a first viewpoint and shooting a second movie image from a second viewpoint that is different from the first viewpoint; converting, respectively, the first movie image and the second movie image to first movie image data and second movie image data; storing the first image data and the second image data; and controlling the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored in the storage section and the first movie image data stored in the storage section.
14 . The method of claim 13 wherein the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored and the first movie image data stored includes playing back the first movie image data during a first time, and switching to playing back the second movie image data during a second time that does not overlap with the first time.
15 . The method of claim 14 wherein the switching to playing back the second movie image data during a second time is performed responsive to a manual user input.
16 . The method of claim 14 wherein the switching to playing back the second movie image data during a second time is performed responsive to a determination that the first movie is unstable.
17 . The method of claim 13 wherein the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored and the first movie image data stored includes simultaneously playing back both the first movie image data and the second movie image data.
18 . The method of claim 13 wherein the act of controlling the playback of a combination of the second movie image data stored and the first movie image data stored includes switching between (A) playing back only the first movie image data and (B) playing back a combination of the first movie image data and the second movie image data, responsive to a manual user input.
19 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing thereon processor-executable instructions which, when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform method comprising:
simultaneously shooting, using an imaging system, a first movie image from a first viewpoint and shooting a second movie image from a second viewpoint that is different from the first viewpoint; converting, respectively, the first movie image and the second movie image to first movie image data and second movie image data; storing the first image data and the second image data; and
