Abstract
Using LAPI (low access priority indication) information of an RRC Connection Request from a terminal, a base station selects a specific mobility management node.

31 . A mobile communication system, comprising:
a terminal configured for Low Access Priority, the terminal including means to provide a source base station with LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority, and inform via the source base station a source MME (Mobility Management Entity) of the LAPI to cause the source MME to hold the LAPI therein; and the source MME including means to receive a Handover Required message sent thereto from the source base station when the terminal performs a handover, select a target MME dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source MME, and send a Forward Relocation Request to the target MME.
32 . A mobile communication system, comprising:
a terminal configured for Low Access Priority, the terminal including means to provide a source RNC (Radio Network Controller) with LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority, and inform via the source RNC a source SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) of the LAPI to cause the source SGSN to hold the LAPI therein; and the source SGSN including means to receive a Relocation Required message sent thereto from the source RNC when the terminal performs a handover, select a target SGSN dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI stored on the source SGSN, and send a Forward Relocation Request to the target SGSN.
33 . A MME (Mobility Management Entity) for a mobile communication system, wherein
a source MME includes means to receive, via a source base station (eNodeB), and hold therein LAPI provided to the source RNC by a terminal configured for Low Access Priority, the LAPI being information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority; and the source MME includes means to receive a Handover Required message sent thereto from the source base station when the terminal performs a handover, select a target MME dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source MME, and send a Forward Relocation Request to the target MME.
34 . A SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) for a mobile communication system, wherein
a source SGSN includes means to receive, via a source RNC (Radio Network Controller), and hold therein LAPI provided to the source RNC by a terminal configured for Low Access Priority, the LAPI being information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority; and the source SGSN includes means to receive a Relocation Required message sent thereto from the source RNC when the terminal performs a handover, select a target SGSN dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI stored on the source SGSN, and send a Forward Relocation Request to the target SGSN.
35 . A terminal configured for Low Access Priority for a mobile communication system, comprising:
means to hold LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority; and means to provide a source base station (eNodeB) with the LAPI and inform via the source base station a source MME (Mobility Management Entity) of the LAPI to cause the source MME to hold the LAPI therein; wherein when the terminal performs a handover, the source base station sends a Handover Required message to the source MME, the source MME, upon reception of the Handover Required message, selecting a target MME dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source MME to send a Forward Relocation Request to the target MME.
36 . A terminal configured for Low Access Priority for a mobile communication system, comprising:
means to hold LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority; and means to provide a source RNC (Radio Network Controller) with the LAPI and inform via the source RNC a source SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) of the LAPI to cause the source SGSN to hold the LAPI therein; wherein when the terminal performs a handover, the source RNC sends a Relocation Required message to the source SGSN, the source SGSN, upon reception of the Relocation Required message, selecting a target SGSN dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source SGSN to send a Forward Relocation Request to the target SGSN.
37 . A communication method for a mobile communication system, the method comprising:
a terminal configured for Low Access Priority, providing a source base station with LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority and informing via the source base station a source MME (Mobility Management Entity) of the LAPI to cause the source MME to hold the LAPI therein; and the source MME receiving a Handover Required message sent thereto from the source base station when the terminal performs a handover, selecting a target MME dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source MME, and sending a Forward Relocation Request to the target MME.
38 . A communication method for a mobile communication system, the method comprising:
a terminal configured for Low Access Priority, providing a source RNC (Radio Network Controller) with LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority and informing via the source RNC a source SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) of the LAPI to cause the source SGSN to hold the LAPI therein; and the source SGSN receiving a Relocation Required message sent thereto from the source RNC when the terminal performs a handover, selecting a target SGSN dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI stored on the source SGSN, and sending a Forward Relocation Request to the target SGSN.
39 . A communication method by a MME (Mobility Management Entity) for use in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:
a source MME receiving, via a source base station (eNodeB), LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) provided to the source base station by a terminal configured for Low Access Priority and holing the LAPI, wherein the LAPI is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority; and the source MME receiving a Handover Required message sent thereto from the source base station when the terminal performs a handover, selecting a target MME dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source MME, and sending a Forward Relocation Request to the target MME.
40 . A communication method by a SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) for use in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:
a source SGSN receiving, via a source RNC (Radio Network Controller), LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is provided to the source RNC by a terminal configured for Low Access Priority and holing the LAPI, wherein the LAPI is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority; and the source SGSN receiving a Relocation Required message sent thereto from the source RNC when the terminal performs a handover, selecting a target SGSN dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI stored on the source SGSN, and sending a Forward Relocation Request to the target SGSN.
41 . A communication method by a terminal configured for Low Access Priority for use in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:
holding LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request from the terminal has Low Access Priority; and providing a source base station (eNodeB) with LAPI and informing via the a source base station a source MME (Mobility Management Entity) of the LAPI to cause the source MME to hold the LAPI therein, wherein when the terminal performs a handover, the source base station sends to the source MME a Handover Required message, the source MME, upon reception of the Handover Required message, selecting a target MME dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source MME to send a Forward Relocation Request to the target MME.
42 . A communication method by a terminal configured for Low Access Priority for use in a mobile communication system, the method comprising:
holding LAPI (Low Access Priority Indication) that is information indicating that a RRC (Radio Resource Control) connection request has Low Access Priority; and providing a source RNC (Radio Network Controller) with LAPI and informing via the source RNC a source SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) of the LAPI to cause the source SGSN to hold the LAPI therein, wherein when the terminal performs a handover, the source RNC sends to the source SGSN a Relocation Required message, the source SGSN, upon reception of the Relocation Required message, selecting a target SGSN dedicated for the terminal based on the LAPI held in the source SGSN to send a Forward Relocation Request to the target SGSN.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
