Presenting execution of a remote application in a mobile device native format
Abstract
In one example, a mobile device includes one or more processors configured to issue, a request to access a resource maintained by a remote computing device, wherein the request causes the remote computing device to execute an application to access the resource, receive, via the network interface, information corresponding to graphical output resulting from execution of the application, wherein the graphical output corresponds to a format specific to the remote computing device, present a graphical representation of the received information in an output format optimized for the mobile device, receive an input command in an input format specific to the mobile device, wherein the input command comprises a command for interacting with the application, translate the input command to a format specific to the application executed by the remote computing device, and send the translated command to the remote computing device.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method comprising:
monitoring associated context information associated with a mobile device when the mobile device is accessing remote resources maintained by a remote computing device; storing the associated context information relative to the remote resources in a data store; obtaining current context information associated with the mobile device; determining probabilities of accessing each of the remote resources based on the current context information and on the associated context information stored in the data store; presenting on the mobile device a user interface configured to offer access to at least one of the remote resources based on the probability of accessing the at least one of the remote resources, the user interface being generated to provide easier access to the at least one of the remote resources if it has a higher probability of being selected by a user; receiving, by a mobile device, a user request to access a particular remote resource of the remote resources maintained by a remote computing device; issuing, by the mobile device to the remote computing device, a device request to access the particular remote resource; and storing the current context information of the mobile device associated with the particular remote resource in the data store.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the associated context information and the current context information include geographic information.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the associated context information and the current context information include time of access information.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the associated context information and the current context information include device identifying information of previously accessing devices.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining probabilities includes weighting a plurality of context dimensions to generate the probabilities of accessing each of the remote resources.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determining probabilities includes considering frequencies of previous accesses to generate the probabilities of accessing each of the remote resources.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the considering frequencies of previous accesses includes considering frequencies of previous accesses over a recent time period.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the remote resources includes content objects.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the presenting the user interface includes presenting a list of remote resource identifiers with a particular resource identifier of the at least one of the remote resources being presented at or near the top of the list if it has a higher probability of being selected by the user.
10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising caching on the mobile device data corresponding to the at least one of the remote resources if it has a higher probability of being selected by the user.
11 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program code for causing a processor to perform the steps of:
monitoring associated context information associated with a mobile device when the mobile device is accessing remote resources maintained by a remote computing device; storing the associated context information relative to the remote resources in a data store; obtaining current context information associated with the mobile device; determining user likelihood of accessing each of the remote resources based on the current context information and on the associated context information stored in the data store; presenting on the mobile device a user interface configured to offer access to at least one of the remote resources based on the user likelihood of accessing the at least one of the remote resources, the user interface being generated to provide easier access to the at least one of the remote resources if it has a higher user likelihood of being selected by a user; receiving, by a mobile device, a user request to access a particular remote resource of the remote resources maintained by a remote computing device; issuing, by the mobile device to the remote computing device, a device request to access the particular remote resource; and storing the current context information of the mobile device associated with the particular remote resource in the data store.
12 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the associated context information and the current context information include geographic information.
13 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the associated context information and the current context information include time of access information.
14 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the determining user likelihood includes weighting a plurality of context dimensions to generate the user likelihood of accessing each of the remote resources.
15 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the determining user likelihood includes considering frequencies of previous accesses to generate the user likelihood of accessing each of the remote resources.
16 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 , wherein the considering frequencies of previous accesses includes considering frequencies of previous accesses over a recent time period.
17 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the remote resources includes content objects.
18 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the presenting the user interface includes presenting a list of remote resource identifiers with a particular resource identifier of the at least one of the remote resources being presented at or near the top of the list if it has a higher user likelihood of being selected by the user.
19 . The computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the program code is further for causing the processor to perform the step of caching on the mobile device data corresponding to the at least one of the remote resources if it has a user likelihood probability of being selected by the user.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
