Portable shooting platform

Abstract

A rapidly deployable and adjustable arm support apparatus to be fastened to a user's body or user's apparel to support the arm of the user holding a rifle, bow, camera etc. In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, the adjustable arm support platform includes an arm support and a first extension member connected to the arm support. The arm support is adjustable along at least a first dimension and is shaped to accommodate a shooters arm. A second extension member is rotatably connected to the first extension member, wherein the first extension member is rotatably adjustable relative to the second extension member. This flexibility of orientation means that the user's arm can be comfortably supported in virtually any reasonable orientation relative to the shooting platform.

1 . An adjustable arm support platform comprising:
 an arm support;   a arm extension rod connected to the arm support, the arm support being adjustable along at least a first dimension;   a vest extension rod rotatably connected to the arm extension rod, the arm extension rod being rotatably adjustable relative to the second extension member via a rotatable connector.   
     
     
         2 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , wherein the arm support is slidably adjustable in a direction parallel to the arm extension rod. 
     
     
         3 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , wherein the arm support is rotatably adjustable along an axis substantially parallel to the arm extension rod. 
     
     
         4 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , further comprising a first extension mount connected to the arm extension rod and the arm support, 
     
     
         5 . The arm support platform of  claim 4 , wherein the first extension mount includes a groove shaped to fit a rail system. 
     
     
         6 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , wherein the rotatable connector comprises a variable locking hinge. 
     
     
         7 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , wherein the arm support is attached to a tube of sufficient diameter to receive the arm extension rod and the arm support is adjustable in at least a linear direction with respect to the arm extension rod. 
     
     
         8 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , wherein the arm support is connected to the vest extension rod via a telescoping and rotatable tube. 
     
     
         9 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , further comprising a second extension mount connected to the vest extension rod. 
     
     
         10 . The arm support platform of  claim 9 , wherein the vest extension rod is rotatably adjustable along an axis parallel to the vest extension rod. 
     
     
         11 . The arm support platform of  claim 9  wherein the second extension mount includes a groove shaped to fit a rail system. 
     
     
         12 . The arm support platform of  claim 9 , wherein the arm support is angularly adjustable with respect to an angle between an axis parallel with the arm extension rod and an imaginary plane that includes the vest extension rod. 
     
     
         13 . The arm support platform of  claim 11 , further comprising a a mounting bracket shaped to fit within a multi-loop vest. 
     
     
         14 . The arm support platform of  claim 9  wherein the arm support is adjustable vertically. 
     
     
         15 . The arm support platform of  claim 1  wherein the arm support is rotatable about an axis perpendicular to an imaginary plane substantially containing the arm support. 
     
     
         16 . The arm support platform of  claim 1  further comprising a strap attached to the arm support platform for attaching to the platform to a shooter's arm. 
     
     
         17 . The arm support platform of  claim 1 , further comprising a rail attached to the arm support and the first extension mount. 
     
     
         18 . An arm support system comprising:
 an arm support;   a arm extension rod connected to the arm support, the arm support being slidably and rotatably adjustable along the arm extension rod;   a vest extension rod attached to the arm extension rod, the arm extension rod being rotatably adjustable relative to the vest extension rod via a rotatable connector; and   a mounting bracket attached to the vest extension rod.   
     
     
         19 . The arm support system of  claim 18  further comprising an attachment bracket for connecting to an H-gear loop configuration. 
     
     
         20 . The arm support system of  claim 18  further comprising attachment straps for attaching to a user's arm.
