Preparation for protection against extrinsic and intrinsic skin aging

Abstract

The invention relates to a cosmetic or dermatological preparation, which comprises one or more extracts of Saxifraga oppositifolia (purple mountain saxifrage) and/or one or more extracts of Soldanella alpina (alpine snowbell). The invention further relates to the use of said extracts to protect against extrinsic and intrinsic skin aging.

         21 . A cosmetic or dermatological preparation, wherein the preparation comprises (i) one or more extracts of  Saxifraga oppositifolia  and/or (ii) one or more extracts of  Soldanella alpina.    
     
     
         22 . The preparation of  claim 21 , wherein the preparation comprises at least (ii). 
     
     
         23 . The preparation of  claim 21 , wherein the preparation comprises both (i) and (ii). 
     
     
         24 . The preparation of  claim 22 , wherein the preparation comprises no additional plant extracts. 
     
     
         25 . The preparation of  claim 21 , wherein the preparation comprises, based on a total weight of the preparation, not more than 15% by weight of (i) and/or not more than 15% by weight of (ii). 
     
     
         26 . The preparation of  claim 22 , wherein the preparation comprises from 0.0001% to 5% by weight of (i) and/or from 0.0001% to 5% by weight of (ii). 
     
     
         27 . The preparation of  claim 22 , in which (i) and/or (ii) comprise at least one water-soluble extract. 
     
     
         28 . The preparation of  claim 22 , in which (i) and/or (ii) comprise at least one oil-soluble extract. 
     
     
         29 . The preparation of  claim 22 , in which all extracts (i) and/or (ii) present are either water-soluble or oil-soluble. 
     
     
         30 . The preparation of  claim 22 , wherein extracts (i) and/or (ii) were obtained by extraction from plant leaves and/or plant stems. 
     
     
         31 . The preparation of  claim 21 , wherein the preparation further comprises (iii) one or more extracts of  Chlamydocapsa  sp. 
     
     
         32 . The preparation of  claim 21 , wherein the preparation comprises at least one extract which is different from (i) and (ii). 
     
     
         33 . The preparation of  claim 31 , wherein the preparation comprises at least one extract which is different from (i), (ii) and (iii).

The preparation of  claim 32 , wherein the preparation further comprises one or more extracts selected from  Artemisia umbelliformis  extract,  Rubus idaeus  (raspberry) extract,  Plantago lanceolata  leaf extract,  Saccharomyces cerevisiae  extract,  Equisetum arvense  extract,  Evernia furfuracea  (tree moss) extract.

The preparation of  claim 33 , wherein the preparation further comprises one or more extracts selected from  Artemisia umbelliformis  extract,  Rubus idaeus  (raspberry) extract,  Plantago lanceolata  leaf extract,  Saccharomyces cerevisiae  extract,  Equisetum arvense  extract,  Evernia furfuracea  (tree moss) extract. 
     
     
         36 . The preparation of  claim 22 , wherein the preparation further comprises at least one amino acid. 
     
     
         37 . A cosmetic or dermatological preparation, wherein the preparation is suitable for topical application to human skin and for cosmetic and/or dermatological use, is present as at least one of an emulsion, microemulsion, dispersion, gel, aqueous and/or alcoholic solution, serum, oil, tincture, ointment, salve or wipe impregnation media and comprises, based on a total weight of the preparation, from 0.0001% to 15% by weight of one or more extracts of  Soldanella alpina,  as well as one or more components selected from fats, oils, waxes, moisturizing and/or humectant substances, alcohols, polyols, polymers, electrolytes, organic solvents, silicones, foam stabilizers, substances for preventing foaming, dyes, coloring pigments, thickeners. 
     
     
         38 . A cosmetic or dermatological preparation, wherein the preparation is suitable for topical application to human skin and for cosmetic and/or dermatological use, is present as at least one of an emulsion, microemulsion, dispersion, gel, aqueous and/or alcoholic solution, serum, oil, tincture, ointment, salve or wipe impregnation media and comprises, based on a total weight of the preparation, from 0.0001% to 0.5% by weight of one or more extracts of  Soldanella alpina,  as well as one or more components selected from fats, oils, waxes, moisturizing and/or humectant substances, alcohols, polyols, polymers, electrolytes, organic solvents, silicones, foam stabilizers, substances for preventing foaming, dyes, coloring pigments, thickeners, the one or more extracts of  Soldanella alpina  comprising at least one water-soluble extract obtained by hydro-alcoholic extraction of plant leaves and/or plant stems and/or comprising at least one oil-soluble extract obtained by supercritical fluid extraction of plant leaves and/or plant stems. 
     
     
         39 . A method for reducing or avoiding skin damage by extrinsic and/or intrinsic factors and/or for delaying intrinsic and/or extrinsic skin aging, wherein the method comprises applying the preparation of  claim 21  to the skin. 
     
     
         40 . A method for reducing or avoiding skin damage by extrinsic and/or intrinsic factors and/or for delaying intrinsic and/or extrinsic skin aging, wherein the method comprises applying the preparation of  claim 22  to the skin.
