Abstract

A transformer is provided. The transformer includes at least one first primary turn; at least one second primary turn; and a first secondary turn and a second secondary turn. The first secondary turn and the second secondary turn are arranged laterally between the at least one first primary turn and the at least one second primary turn. The first secondary turn and the second secondary turn are arranged one above the other.

1 . A transformer, comprising:
 primary turns; and   secondary turns;   wherein the primary turns comprise at least one first primary section and at least one second primary section;   wherein the secondary turns are arranged between the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section;   wherein the secondary turns comprise at least one first secondary section and at least one second secondary section wherein the first secondary section and the second secondary section are arranged one above the other.   
     
     
         2 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the secondary turns are arranged laterally between the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section. 
     
     
         3 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the secondary turns are arranged vertically between the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section. 
     
     
         4 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section are connected in parallel or in series. 
     
     
         5 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section are stacked vertically or arranged laterally. 
     
     
         6 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first secondary section and the at least one second secondary section are connected in parallel or in series. 
     
     
         7 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first secondary section and the at least one second secondary section are stacked vertically or arranged laterally. 
     
     
         8 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first secondary section and the at least one second secondary section are arranged in different metallization planes. 
     
     
         9 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first secondary section and the at least one second secondary section have a different width. 
     
     
         10 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first secondary section is arranged in a first plane, and the at least one second secondary section and further secondary turns are arranged in a second plane above the first plane. 
     
     
         11 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one first secondary section and the at least one second secondary section are arranged one above the other in two metal layers in a vertically coupling fashion. 
     
     
         12 . The transformer of  claim 1 , wherein the primary turns and the secondary turns are arranged on a die or a chip. 
     
     
         13 . A transformer structure, comprising:
 primary turns including at least one first primary section and at least one second primary section, wherein the at least one first primary section is a plurality of first primary turns, and wherein the at least one second primary section is a plurality of second primary turns; and   secondary turns including at least one first secondary section and at least one second secondary section, arranged between the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section, wherein the at least one first secondary section and the at least one second secondary section are arranged one above the other.   
     
     
         14 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the secondary turns are laterally arranged between the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section. 
     
     
         15 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the secondary turns are vertically arranged between the at least one first primary section and the at least one second primary section. 
     
     
         16 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the at least one first secondary section and the at least one second secondary section have different widths. 
     
     
         17 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the primary turns of the plurality of the first primary turns are connected in parallel or in series. 
     
     
         18 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the primary turns of the plurality of the first primary turns are arranged in different metal layers or laterally. 
     
     
         19 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the primary turns of the plurality of the second primary turns are connected in parallel or in series. 
     
     
         20 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the primary turns of the plurality of the second primary turns are arranged in different metal layers or laterally. 
     
     
         21 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the at least one first primary section has a first part at the level of the at least one first secondary section and a second part at the level of the at least one second secondary section. 
     
     
         22 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the at least one second primary section has a first part at the level of the at least one first secondary section and a second part at the level of the at least one second secondary section. 
     
     
         23 . The transformer structure of  claim 13 , wherein the primary turns and the secondary turns are arranged on a die or a chip.
