Persona based content modification

Abstract

An original document is received. The original document is any piece of information available in electronic format. A persona of a user accessing the original document is determined. At least one document category of the original document is determined. A level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document category of the original document is determined. Responsive to the determination of the level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document category of the original document, the original document is modified into a modified document based on predetermined modifications for the determined level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document category.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for transforming a document, the method comprising:
 receiving an original document, wherein the original document is any piece of information available in electronic format;   determining, by one or more computer processors, a persona of a user accessing the original document;   determining, by one or more computer processors, at least one document category of the original document;   determining, by one or more computer processors, a level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document category of the original document; and   responsive to determining the level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document category of the original document, modifying, by one or more computer processors, the original document into a modified document based on predetermined modifications for the determined level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document category.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein modifying is modifying at least one sentence within the document, wherein the modification is changing the sentence, or creating an appendix within the modified document wherein the appendix includes all the modifications to all sentences in one location within the modified document. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the persona of the user is determined using at least one of: Internet browsing patterns of the user, social media participation of the user, a created profile of the user, a location of the user, and a previous use of vocabulary by the user. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 scanning, by one or more computer processors, the original document for words, wherein each word can be classified as one or more of the following: nominal words, general terms, and key words.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 4 , wherein the key words and a definition of each key word are used to determine a document category of the original document. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein determining a level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document category of the original document comprises:
 comparing, by one or more computer processors, the persona of the user to a plurality of predetermined expertise values, wherein each predetermined expertise value corresponds to a document category; and   responsive to comparing the persona of the user to a plurality of predetermined expertise values, wherein each predetermined expertise value corresponds to a document category, identifying, by one or more computer processors, the level of expertise of the persona of the user in each document category of the at least one document categories of the original document.
