Container with magnetic closure

Abstract

A container includes a top component, a base component and a magnet, wherein the magnet is attached to one of the components and the other component is at least partially including a plastic material intermixed with a passive magnetic material such that the magnet exerts a closing force on the other component to retain the top and base in a closed configuration.

         18 . A container wherein the container comprises at least a first container component, a second container component and a magnet, wherein
 the first container component is at least partially comprised of a passive magnetic material and   the magnet is attached to the second container component such that the magnet exerts a closing force on the first container component to retain the first container component and second container component in a closed configuration.   
     
     
         19 . The container of  claim 18 , wherein the passive magnetic material comprised passive magnetic particles intermixed with a non magnetic material. 
     
     
         20 . The container of  claim 19 , wherein the non magnetic material is a thermoplastic material. 
     
     
         21 . The container of  claim 18  wherein the first container component is a base and the second container component is a top. 
     
     
         22 . The container of  claim 21  wherein
 the top has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the base when the container is in the closed configuration and the magnet is attached to the distal portion of the top. 
 
     
     
         23 . The container of  claim 22 , wherein
 the base has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the top when the container is in the closed configuration and   the magnet is located nearer the proximal portion of the base when the container is in the closed configuration.

 the top has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the base when the container is in the closed configuration and 
 the magnet is attached to the proximal portion of the top. 
 
     
     
         25 . The container of  claim 24 , wherein
 the base has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the top when the container is in the closed configuration and   the magnet is located nearer the distal portion of the base when the container is in the closed configuration.   
     
     
         26 . The container of  claim 18  wherein the first container component is a top and the second container component is a base. 
     
     
         27 . The container of  claim 26  wherein
 the base has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the top when the container is in the closed configuration and 
 the magnet is attached to the distal portion of the base. 
 
     
     
         28 . The container of  claim 27 , wherein
 the top has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the base when the container is in the closed configuration and   the magnet is located nearer the proximal portion of the top when the container is in the closed configuration.

 the base has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the top when the container is in the closed configuration and 
 the magnet is attached to the proximal portion of the base. 
 
     
     
         30 . The container of  claim 29 , wherein
 the top has a distal portion and proximal portion relative to the base when the container is in the closed configuration and   the magnet is located nearer the distal portion of the top when the container is in the closed configuration.   
     
     
         31 . The container of  claim 18 , wherein the first container component is a base of a lipstick container and the second container component is a cap of a lipstick container. 
     
     
         32 . The container of  claim 31 , wherein the base comprises a shell component made at least partially in the passive magnetic material. 
     
     
         33 . The container of  claim 32 , wherein the shell component is completely made in the passive magnetic material. 
     
     
         34 . The container of  claim 18 , wherein the first container component is a base of a writing instrument and the second container component is a cap of a writing instrument.
