Artificial insemination

Abstract

An artificial insemination device may include a condom having a sheath and a reinforced cup that caps one end of the sheath, thereby having an inner concave surface and an outer convex surface; and a delivery handle comprising an elongate extension sized, shaped, shaped to contact the outer convex surface of the condom cup.

We claim: 
     
         1 . An artificial insemination device comprising:
 a condom comprising a rolled-up sheath;   a cup that contacts the sheath, the sheath being rolled to the cup to form a supporting ring for the cup; and   a delivery handle comprising an elongate extension sized and shaped to contact an outer, convex, distal surface of the cup.   
     
     
         2 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , wherein the cup is reinforced. 
     
     
         3 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 2 , wherein the reinforced cup is made of material thicker or stiffer than that of the sheath. 
     
     
         4 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 3 , wherein the cup is made of material thicker than that of the sheath. 
     
     
         5 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 4 , wherein the cup is made of material stiffer than that of the sheath. 
     
     
         6 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 3 , wherein the cup is made of material stiffer than that of the sheath. 
     
     
         7 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , further comprising a receptacle disposed at a distal end of the cup. 
     
     
         8 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , wherein the delivery handle comprises fingers to receive the receptacle. 
     
     
         9 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , wherein the delivery handle further comprises fingers to receive an outer convex surface of the cup. 
     
     
         10 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 9 , wherein the delivery handle includes a plunger operably connected to at least one finger to displace the finger between open and closed positions. 
     
     
         11 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 9 , wherein the delivery handle has an open position wherein at least one finger engages the outer convex surface of the cup, with the supporting ring of the cup disposed distal to the fingers. 
     
     
         12 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 9 , wherein at least one finger engages the supporting ring of the cup. 
     
     
         13 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , further comprising a pull-string attached to the convex outer surface of the cup. 
     
     
         14 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 13 , wherein the pull-string includes a mechanical locking feature at a distal end thereof. 
     
     
         15 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 13 , wherein the pull-string includes an adhesive at a distal end thereof. 
     
     
         16 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 13 , wherein the pull-string is attached directly to the convex outer surface. 
     
     
         17 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , further comprising a pull-string attached to the supporting ring. 
     
     
         18 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , further comprising a pull-string attached to a receptacle of the cup. 
     
     
         19 . The artificial insemination device of  claim 1 , further comprising a pull-string attached to the delivery handle.
