Method and apparatus for generating or using interaction activity information

Abstract

A method of generating interaction activity information including connecting a second apparatus to a first apparatus capable of communicating with each other, receiving first information about a function that is capable of being performed in the first apparatus, from the first apparatus, and generating second information about a function that is used interactively between the first apparatus and the second apparatus, based on the first information.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method performed by a mobile apparatus, the method comprising:
 after wireless communication between the mobile apparatus and a printer is established,
 wirelessly communicating with the printer to receive information from the printer indicating at least one function capable of being performed by the printer, 
 displaying, based on the received information, the at least one function on the mobile apparatus, 
 receiving an input to select a function of the at least one function displayed on the mobile apparatus, and 
 wirelessly transmitting information to the printer to cause the printer to perform the selected function. 
   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one function includes a print function capable of being performed by the printer. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein
 the at least one function includes a plurality of functions, and   the plurality of functions are displayed as a list on the mobile apparatus.   
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 storing information in the mobile apparatus indicating the at least one function displayed on the mobile apparatus;   after the wireless communication between the mobile apparatus and the printer is ended and later reestablished, re-display the at least one function on the mobile apparatus based on the stored information.   
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 prior to the wireless communication between the mobile apparatus and the printer being established,
 searching for printers within wireless communication range of the mobile apparatus, and 
 selecting a respective printer from among printers found during the search as the printer with which the wireless communication between the mobile apparatus and the printer is established. 
   
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the received information includes information regarding performance, restriction, control and authority related to the at least one function. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one function includes a function that is interactively performed by the mobile apparatus and the printer. 
     
     
         8 . A printer comprising:
 a memory configured to store instructions; and   a processor configured to execute the instructions stored in the memory to cause the printer to, after wireless communication between the printer and a mobile apparatus is established:
 wirelessly communicate with the mobile apparatus to transmit information from the printer to the mobile apparatus indicating at least one function capable of being performed by the printer, 
 receive information wirelessly transmitted by the mobile apparatus and indicating a function selected on the mobile apparatus from the at least one function displayed, based on the transmitted information, on the mobile apparatus, and 
 perform the function indicated by the received information. 
   
     
     
         9 . The printer of  claim 8 , wherein the at least one function includes a print function capable of being performed by the printer. 
     
     
         10 . The printer of  claim 8 , wherein
 the at least one function includes a plurality of functions, and   the plurality of functions are displayed as a list on the mobile apparatus.   
     
     
         11 . The printer of  claim 8 , wherein the transmitted information includes information regarding performance, restriction, control and authority related to the at least one function. 
     
     
         12 . The printer of  claim 8 , wherein the at least one function includes a function that is interactively performed by the mobile apparatus and the printer. 
     
     
         13 . A method performed by a printer, the method comprising:
 after wireless communication between the printer and a mobile apparatus is established,
 wirelessly communicating with the mobile apparatus to transmit information from the printer to the mobile apparatus indicating at least one function capable of being performed by the printer, 
 receiving information wirelessly transmitted by the mobile apparatus and indicating a function selected on the mobile apparatus from the at least one function displayed, based on the transmitted information, on the mobile apparatus, and 
 performing the function indicated by the received information. 
   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein the at least one function includes a print function capable of being performed by the printer. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein
 the at least one function includes a plurality of functions, and   the plurality of functions are displayed as a list on the mobile apparatus.   
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 13 , wherein the transmitted information includes information regarding performance, restriction, control and authority related to the at least one function. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 13  wherein the at least one function includes a function that is interactively performed by the mobile apparatus and the printer. 
     
     
         18 . A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing instructions that, when executed by a processor of a printer, cause the printer to perform, after wireless communication between the printer and a mobile apparatus is established:
 wirelessly communicating with the mobile apparatus to transmit information from the printer to the mobile apparatus indicating at least one function capable of being performed by the printer,   receiving information wirelessly transmitted by the mobile apparatus and indicating a function selected on the mobile apparatus from the at least one function displayed, based on the transmitted information, on the mobile apparatus, and   performing the function indicated by the received information.
