Smart ping system
Abstract
A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method for providing a smart ping mechanism are presented. For example, an example embodiment may generate a game board on a first client device and a second client device. Then, the embodiment may detect, from the first client device, user activation of a smart ping mechanic. Responsive to detecting the user activation, the embodiment may generate, on the first client device, one or more user selectable communication artifacts based at least in part on contextual data derived from the game board. Then, responsive to detecting a user selection of one of the user selectable communication artifacts, the embodiment may surface the selected communication artifact to the second client device.

2 . A computer-implemented method, comprising:
generating a first instance of a user interface for presentation on a first client device; generating a second instance of the user interface for presentation on a second client device; detecting input received at a location in the first instance user interface within a threshold distance from a user interface feature; identifying at least one selectable item based on the location of the detected input in the first instance user interface; initiating display, at the first client device, of the at least one selectable item in the first instance of the user interface; and responsive to detecting a selection of the at least user selectable menu item, initiating display, at the second client device, of a message that corresponds to the selected selectable menu item.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to heal the given team member.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to defend the given team member.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given opposing team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to attack the given opposing team member.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a collectible game object and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to obtain the collectible game object.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the user interface feature comprises an avatar of an opposing team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to attack the opposing team member.
8 . non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions thereon, which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
generating a first instance of a user interface for presentation on a first client device; generating a second instance of the user interface for presentation on a second client device; detecting input received at a location in the first instance user interface within a threshold distance from a user interface feature; identifying at least one selectable item based on the location of the detected input in the first instance user interface; initiating display, at the first client device, of the at least one selectable item in the first instance of the user interface; and responsive to detecting a selection of the at least user selectable menu item, initiating display, at the second client device, of a message that corresponds to the selected selectable menu item.
9 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to heal the given team member.
10 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to defend the given team member.
11 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given opposing team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to attack the given opposing team member.
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a collectible game object and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to obtain the collectible game object.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the user interface feature comprises an avatar of an opposing team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to attack the opposing team member.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message comprising a message to retreat to a specified location in the second instance of the user interface.
15 . A computer system comprising:
a processor; a memory device holding an instruction set executable on the processor cause the computer system to perform operations comprising: generating a first instance of a user interface for presentation on a first client device; generating a second instance of the user interface for presentation on a second client device; detecting input received at a location in the first instance user interface within a threshold distance from a user interface feature; identifying at least one selectable item based on the location of the detected input in the first instance user interface: initiating display, at the first client device, of the at least one selectable item in the first instance of the user interface; and responsive to detecting a selection of the at least user selectable menu item, initiating display, at the second client device, of a message that corresponds to the selected selectable menu item.
16 . The computer system of claim 15 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to heal the given team member.
17 . The computer system of claim 15 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to defend the given team member.
18 . The computer system of claim 15 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given opposing team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to attack the given opposing team member.
19 . The computer system of claim 15 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a collectible game object and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to obtain the collectible game object.
20 . The computer system of claim 15 , wherein the user interface feature comprises an avatar of an opposing team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message to attack the opposing team member.
21 . The computer system of claim 15 , wherein the user interface feature comprises a representation of a given team member and a respective user selectable menu item corresponds with an alert message comprising a message to retreat to a specified location in the second instance of the user interface.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
