Abstract

User-applications provided by mobile devices are integrated. In one aspect, an email message is received at a mobile device from an email address and a representation of the email message is displayed on a graphical user interface. An input is received from a user indicating a selection of the email address. Contact information corresponding to a set of contacts is searched for a contact having a contact email address matching the email address. Contact information for the contact includes a geographic location for the contact. A display of a map is provided to the user. The display includes a graphical representation indicating the geographic location for the contact having a contact email address matching the email address.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method performed by a mobile device, the method comprising:
 receiving, at the mobile device, an email including information identifying a sender of the email;   receiving user input indicating a selection of the information identifying the sender;   retrieving, by a processor of the mobile device, geographic location associated with the sender; and   displaying, by the processor, a map showing the geographic location.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising
 determining, by the processor, a current location of the mobile device; and   presenting, on the displayed map, a route from the current location to the geographic location on the map.   
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , further comprising presenting textual directions for the route. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , further comprising presenting audio directions for the route. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , comprising, prior to the presenting of the route,
 providing the retrieved geographic location associated with the sender and the determined current location of the mobile device to a route service with a request for the route therebetween; and   receiving the requested route from the route service.   
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein
 the information identifying the sender is an email address of the sender, and   the received user input indicates user selection of the email address.   
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the geographic location associated with the sender is retrieved from an address book associated with the mobile device. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 7 , wherein the address book associated with the mobile device is stored at the mobile device. 
     
     
         9 . A computing device comprising:
 one or more hardware processors;   a display; and   a memory device encoding instructions that, when executed by the one or more hardware processors, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:
 receiving an email including information identifying a sender of the email; 
 receiving user input indicating a selection of the information identifying the sender; 
 retrieving geographic location associated with the sender; and 
 displaying, on the display, a map showing the geographic location. 
   
     
     
         10 . The computing device of  claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 determining a current location of the computing device; and   presenting, on the displayed map, a route from the current location to the geographic location on the map.   
     
     
         11 . The computing device of  claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise presenting textual directions for the route. 
     
     
         12 . The computing device of  claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise presenting audio directions for the route. 
     
     
         13 . The computing device of  claim 10 , wherein the operations further comprise, prior to performing the operation of presenting the route,
 providing the retrieved geographic location associated with the sender and the determined current location of the computing device to a route service with a request for the route therebetween; and   receiving the requested route from the route service.   
     
     
         14 . The computing device of  claim 9 , wherein
 the information identifying the sender is an email address of the sender, and   the received user input indicates user selection of the email address.   
     
     
         15 . The computing device of  claim 9 , wherein the geographic location associated with the sender is retrieved from an address book associated with the computing device. 
     
     
         16 . The computing device of  claim 15 , wherein the address book associated with the computing device is stored at the computing device. 
     
     
         17 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more hardware processors of a computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:
 receiving an email including information identifying a sender of the email;   receiving user input indicating a selection of the information identifying the sender;   retrieving geographic location associated with the sender; and   displaying, on a display associated with the computing device, a map showing the geographic location.   
     
     
         18 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein the operations further comprise:
 determining a current location of the computing device; and   presenting, on the displayed map, a route from the current location to the geographic location on the map.   
     
     
         19 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein
 the information identifying the sender is an email address of the sender, and   the received user input indicates user selection of the email address.   
     
     
         20 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of  claim 17 , wherein the geographic location associated with the sender is retrieved from an address book associated with the mobile device.
