In one aspect, a female underwear includes a crotch panel having a spacer material woven into opposite layers of a fabric. A surrounding area of the female underwear encapsulates the spacer material woven in the crotch panel to encompass a waist of a female wearer. A spacer fabric may have three layers of monofilament yarns standing between an upper fabric and/or a backing fabric. The spacer fabric may have an air-spaced interior core to provide breathability to the crotch panel of the female wearer. The spacer fabric may include a resiliently compressible monofilament yarn in a middle layer to provide for ventilation and/or to move moisture away from a body of the female wearer. The middle layer may be created from a polyester material.
