Abstract

Methods, systems, graphical user interfaces (GUIs), and computer-readable media for presenting GUI elements generated based on information associated with an event are generally described. An event information presentation system may be configured to present GUI elements generated based on substantially real-time event information associated with a live event, such as a sporting event. Illustrative event information may include object movement and location information for objects such as event participants (for instance, players) and articles (for instance, a football for a football game event). The event information may be interpreted based on activity categories to automatically differentiate, organize, highlight, or the like the event information in order to generate relevant and meaningful GUI elements.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An event object information presentation system, comprising:
a processor and a non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium in operable communication with the processor, wherein the computer-readable storage medium contains one or more programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to:
receive event information associated with at least one event object during a live event, the event object information comprising location information and motion information,
receive event-specific information providing rules for processing the event information,
determine relevant event information based on the event-specific information,
transform the relevant event information into at least one graphical user interface element based on the event-specific information, and
cause the at least one graphical user interface element to be presented on at least one content presentation device.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the live event is a sporting event.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element is overlaid on a video presentation of the live event.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element comprises a symbol selected based on a roster position of a player.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element is configured to follow the at least one event object,
wherein the relevant information is updated in substantially real-time as the at least one event object moves.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the computer-readable storage medium further contains one or more programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to generate at least one prediction based on the event information and the rules, wherein the event information comprises historical information associated with the at least one event object.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the computer-readable storage medium further contains one or more programming instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to:
receive content presentation device information, and configure the at least one graphical user interface element based on the content presentation device information.

8 . A computer-implemented method for presenting event object information, the method comprising, by a processor:
receiving event information associated with at least one event object during a live event, the event object information comprising location information and motion information, receiving event-specific information providing rules for processing the event information, determining relevant event information based on the event-specific information, transforming the relevant event information into at least one graphical user interface element based on the event-specific information, and causing the at least one graphical user interface element to be presented on at least one content presentation device.

9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the live event is a sporting event.

10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein causing the at least one graphical user interface element to be presented comprises causing the at least one graphical user interface element to be overlaid on a video presentation of the live event.

11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element comprises a symbol selected based on a roster position of a player.

12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element is configured to follow the at least one event object,
wherein determining relevant event information comprises updating the relevant event information in substantially real-time as the at least one event object moves.

13 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising generating at least one prediction based on the event information and the rules, wherein the event information comprises historical information associated with the at least one event object.

14 . The method of claim 8 , further comprising:
receiving content presentation device information, and configuring the at least one graphical user interface element based on the content presentation device information.

15 . A graphical user interface for presenting event information associated with a live event, the graphical user interface comprising:
at least one graphical user interface element overlaid on a video presentation of a live event, the at least one graphical user interface element being associated with an object of the live event; and relevant event information presented on the at least one graphical user interface, the relevant event information being determined based on event-specific information providing rules for processing the event information, the relevant information being updated in substantially real-time.

16 . The graphical user interface of claim 15 , wherein the live event is a sporting event.

17 . The graphical user interface of claim 15 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element is configured to follow the at least one event object.

18 . The graphical user interface of claim 15 , wherein the relevant event information comprises at least one prediction associated with an event activity.

19 . The graphical user interface of claim 15 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element comprises a symbol selected based on a roster position of a player.

20 . The graphical user interface of claim 15 , wherein the at least one graphical user interface element is connected to the at least one event object.
