Adjustable scaffold assembly
Abstract
An adjustable scaffold assembly includes a pair of vertical supports. A pair of hand rails is provided. Each of the hand rails is telescopic and has an adjustable length. A plurality of retainers couples the hand rails between the vertical supports. A pair of horizontal supports is provided. Each of the horizontal supports is coupled between the vertical supports. Each of the horizontal supports has an adjustable length to selectively alter a distance between the vertical supports. A walkway is mounted on and extends between the vertical supports. The walkway may support a person between the vertical supports. A plurality of wheels is provided. Each of the vertical supports has a bottom end. The wheels are rotatably coupled to the bottom ends to facilitate movement of the vertical supports.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:

a pair of vertical supports; a pair of hand rails, each of said hand rails being telescopic and having an adjustable length; a plurality of retainers, each of said retainers coupling said hand rails between said vertical supports; a pair of horizontal supports, each of said horizontal supports being coupled between said vertical supports, each of said horizontal supports having an adjustable length to selectively alter a distance between said vertical supports; a walkway being mounted on and extending between said vertical supports, said walkway being configured to support a person between said vertical supports; and a plurality of wheels, each of said vertical supports having a bottom end having at least two wheels rotatably coupled thereto to facilitate movement of said vertical supports.
2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein each of said vertical supports including:
a first leg and a second leg each being vertically oriented; a plurality of rods, each of said rods extending between and being attached to said first and second legs, said rods being vertically spaced from each other and horizontally oriented; and
each of said first and second legs having a plurality of apertures therein.
3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein each of said first and second legs of each of said vertical supports having one of said retainers coupled thereto adjacent to an apex of each of said first and second legs, one of said hand rails being mounted on said retainers coupled to said first legs and another one of said hand rails being mounted on said retainers coupled to said second legs such that said hand rails each are coupled to and extend between said vertical supports, each of said retainers forming a closed loop with an associated one of said first and second legs.
4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein one of said horizontal supports being attached to and extending between each of said first legs and one of said horizontal supports being attached to and extending between each of said second legs, each of said horizontal supports being horizontally oriented.
5 . The assembly according to claim 4 , wherein each of said horizontal supports including a pair of arms each having a terminal end, each of said terminal ends terminating in a bracket attached to an associated one of said first or second legs, each of said brackets being selectively positionable at a vertical height on the associated one of said first or second legs.
6 . The assembly according to claim 5 , further comprising a middle section being attached to and extending between each of said arms, said middle section being removably coupled at selectable points along at least one of said arms such that a distance between said terminal ends is adjustable, a plurality of fasteners extend into said middle section and said arms.
7 . The assembly according to claim 6 further comprising a plurality of stops, each of said brackets receiving at least one of said stops, said stops being extendable into a selected one of said apertures.
8 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said walkway including a frame including a pair of lateral supports being laterally spaced from each other and oriented parallel to each other, each of said lateral supports having a free end, each of said lateral supports being telescopic and selectively adjustable, each of said lateral supports having a free end comprising a coupler to releasably engage a selected one of said rods.
9 . The assembly according to claim 8 , further comprising a platform being positioned on said frame and extending between said lateral supports, said platform having a selectively adjustable length, said platform having a pair of lateral edges, each of said lateral edges extending beyond an adjacent one of said lateral supports and extending over one of said horizontal supports such that said platform is supported by said frame and said horizontal supports.
10 . An adjustable scaffold assembly comprising:
a pair of vertical supports, each of said vertical supports including:
a first leg and a second leg each being vertically oriented;
a plurality of rods, each of said rods extending between and being attached to said first and second legs, said rods being vertically spaced from each other and horizontally oriented;
each of said first and second legs having a plurality of apertures therein;
a pair of hand rails, each of said hand rails being telescopic and having an adjustable length; a plurality of retainers, each of said first and second legs of each of said vertical supports having one of said retainers coupled thereto adjacent to an apex of each of said first and second legs, one of said hand rails being mounted on said retainers coupled to said first legs and another one of said hand rails being mounted on said retainers coupled to said second legs such that said hand rails each are coupled to and extend between said vertical supports, each of said retainers forming a closed loop with an associated one of said first and second legs; a pair of horizontal supports, one of said horizontal supports being attached to and extending between each of said first legs and one of said horizontal supports being attached to and extending between each of said second legs, each of said horizontal supports being horizontally oriented, each of said horizontal supports having an adjustable length to selectively alter a distance between said vertical supports, each of said horizontal supports including:
a pair of arms each having a terminal end, each of said terminal ends terminating in a bracket attached to an associated one of said first or second legs, each of said brackets being selectively positionable at a vertical height on the associated one of said first or second legs;
a middle section being attached to and extending between each of said arms, said middle section being removably coupled at selectable points along at least one of said arms such that a distance between said terminal ends is adjustable, a plurality of fasteners extend into said middle section and said arms;
a plurality of stops, each of said brackets receiving at least one of said stops, said stops being extendable into a selected one of said apertures;
a walkway being mounted on and extending between said vertical supports, said walkway being configured to support a person between said vertical supports, said walkway including:
a frame including a pair of lateral supports being laterally spaced from each other and oriented parallel to each other, each of said lateral supports having a free end, each of said lateral supports being telescopic and selectively adjustable, each of said lateral supports having a free end comprising a coupler to releasably engage a selected one of said rods;
